the Leicester loss has really put the shits up people now; instead of top and attempting to galvanise it, we are now looking at avoiding a loss and slipping further to 5th......

i hope the players are in a more calm frame of mind but i cant be overly sure they are to be honest. flap on good flappers, Spurs will give it a right good go.

More accurate to say the "manner" of the Leicester loss has put the shits up people.
Had we performed well but lost ( as can happen), fans would have been gutted but left with some optimism we could turn it round.
But after that shambles on Saturday coming on the back of previous fiascos then people are justified in being pessimistic.

Easy to say that. But problem now is 2 fold - i) injuries to key players ii) managerial announcement - am not sure whats the motivation levels of players like Yaya

Spurs have a sniff of it as well , they are hard to beat , harder than we are.

Younger faster and with a purpose al things we don't have much of.

On top of that we are leaderless and the playing group are wondering if they have a future which should galvanise them but its having the opposite effect which it can have when you have had some success and you are in a comfort zone where you don't think you have any more to prove to anyone including yourself.

Arsenal are in the same boat.

Its really looking like us and Manure in a battle for fourth unless West Ham get on a roll and a bit of a blessing Southampton started so poorly this season.

I was totally confident we're still going to win the league before the Leicester game and thought that its result will just kick our PL campaign on.

Now, with the way we defend as a unit and the injuries, I even fear our top 4 chances (though given the state the rags are in, it still should be an easy task). If Leicester won against us at ease I really fear the worst against Spurs as they are a genuinely better side than them and currently are the best in the league; they would already be the leaders if it weren't for that unlucky loss against Leicester.

Looking at that thread, I'm not the only one worrying that much, hopefully this is gonna end up like last season when we went on that 6 game winning streak. But fuck, let this season end anyhow, this is some massive underachievement already... We were way better even last season and still didn't have a real chance against Chelsea in the title race.

Oh and while we're at it, please for the sake of it Pellers, don't play again the trio of Fernandinho, Delph and Yaya as it never ever worked so far (Arsenal, Everton, Leicester). Put Fernando ahead of the CBs as he was actually one of the most decent peformers in the last few weeks and play either Dinho/Delph (I prefer the former, quite obviously I think) in a double pivot alongside Nando. If Silva is out then put Yaya behind the striker, not that he was ever that good there when he started in an advanced role, but it's still way better than this experimental 4-4-2 stuff which we do with Delph covering Kolarov. Sterling and Iheanacho will then hopefully sort the winger options somehow...

And put Sagna and Clichy on as on current form they have the most clue of how to defend and stuff like that. It hardly guarantees anything but Kolarov really just gets exposed from time to time against teams like this.

I feel we dont have the motivation. As soon as Pep was announced and all the rumours about players movements, both incoming and outgoing , I knew we would lose that bit of desire. Among the top 4, I feel we have the least to prove and it shows.

I literally feel the transition to Pep has cost us a chance at a league title this season. Pellegrini has been undermined and god knows how many players fear for their future with Pep coming. It had better be worth while form next season beyond, because the club has made a dogs breakfast out of this season.
Pep's announcement should have encouraged players to play better and convince future boss that they are worth their place in squad.
But this style of play isn't new as we played like this against Liverpool, Stoke, Arsenal and totenham this season, so I assume that sheikh made this present to fans and for me during leicester game it was goo to know that this manager and half of players will be removed after Pep comes and we will play with hunger, with more pace and demolish teams like leicester
