. Aguero
. Sterling
Kolarov Fernando Fernandinho Delph
Clichy De Michelis Otamendi Zabaleta

All bar Sergio behind the ball and stodge up the middle of the park with 2 banks of 4 plus Sterling when they have possession. Look to knock balls over their back four for Sterling to chase when we win it back.

Not very ambitious or expansive I know, but needs must, and if they keep pressing, we will get opportunities to break at speed.

Edit: don't know how to format that properly.

Hart
Zaba, Otamendi,Sagna, Clichy
Fernando
Delph Fernandihno
Celina , Aguero, Sterling

A 4-3-3 that can then be put into a 4-5-1 while defending.

Have fernando just sit on thier no 10(I imagine Ali), and have fernandihno and delph both just putting in a shift.

I feel we also really need to push up forward on the wings to keep thier full backs in thier own half.

Also choosen Celina as its seems hes the more favoured of the younger boys, unless your put Kelechi in that pos.

Barker would be leftfield?

Be realistic... MP isn't going to try anything overly creative...
Hart
Zabba, Ota, MDM, Sanga
Delph Fernandinho
Nacho Toure Sterling
Kun

Bench-
VK, Kolorov, Celina, Fernando, Barker

Spurs are reminding me a bit of when we won our first prem title. Hard to beat and very capable of nicking a 1 nil and on the odd occasion capable of spanking teams. How times have changed. Our current showing against the top 6 sides is dismal and expect nothing less than another hiding. When was the last time any team won the league and suffered some heavy defeats along the way. I remember watching Match of day once and some pundit said "the team that usually wins the mini top 4 league (results Vs each other) goes on to lift the trophy".

5 in midfield we may have a slight chance. A midfield 2 including Toure. Forget it.

LOL, might not be as daft as it looks.

Rearranged

-----------------Hart
Sagna Kompany Otamendi Clichy
---------Fernando Delph
Zaba--------------------------Kolarov
--------Fernandhino
-----------Aguero

Highly unlikely, but I'd like to think that we'd be unlikely to concede stupid goals.

Very unlikely to score any either.

Tottenham represent everything that our team hates in terms of their work rate. Its going tobe a hard game to win.

Fernandinho looked deadly when he played the advanced role and we only need to score 1 to win

Precisely Madchester, clearly you were joking, as was I, but its not as stupid an idea as it might look, there's not a person reading this thread wouldn't take a drab 1-0 win for City on Sunday (other than Spurs fans obviously).

Absolutely a clean sheet is the first priority, I believe if we keep one then we will win due to a moment of brilliance from Sergio.

I don't think for a second that Pellegrini will have this same mentality though unfortunately.

Nor do I, but I suspect he'll be forced to be much more pragmatic this weekend, just because of who is available, where we are after last Saturday, and what we have to come games wise in the next few weeks.

true, would you take a 0v0 now?
Home match but considering the circumstances I think many would.
