I'm no fan of Spurs(not far behind Liverpool and United in the dislike stakes for me) but I don't think Richarlison was a terrible buy personally and he could go up a level in a team like Spurs, under a manager like Conte. He is PL proven, he's performed in much worse teams and Everton bought him for £50m and he wasn't on the last year of his contract. He wasn't going for less than £50m because he was one of Everton's top performers I thought, so they'd naturally want a profit to part ways.
So comparing that deal to Jesus', is not really fair because they got a bargain thanks to him being on the last year of his contract. I think Jesus chose Arsenal very early on, the Arteta link up and less competition for places, would have been considered. Also, I personally believe that City haven't forgot the way Levy acted last summer, when we wanted one of their players. They would have had to pay more than Aresnal did IMO(unless there were no other buyers), even if Jesus was interested in that move.
What confuses me, is the Kulusevski situation.
Transfermrkt says he's returned to Juve, since it was a loan move. I can't seem to find any information about a loan extension or a permanent move anywhere. Can anyone shed some light on that? i.e What is happening with this player? Because a lot are talking like he's already a permanent signing. Was there even an option to buy and how much do Juve want for him if he's sold?
Edit: My mistake, I didn't realise they did "upcoming transfers" on Transfermrkt, that caught me out(can clubs do two year loans?). It says he returns to Juventus in June 2023, not 2022. I suppose they will decide after having a season with Richarlison, whether they need to make it a permanent move.
