Tottenham to sell Bale or Modric if they miss out on CL

Was mentioned last week to me that we would be signing both Bale and Modric from Spurs but couldn't see the point of Modric tbh and also RVP was also being signed.

Not Itk in fact Ikfa but this was told to me by a close friend of City coaching team.

Can't see it myself. It'd cost about 80 mill for the pair!

Can't see Modric fetching more than we paid for Silva, and can't see anyone paying more for Bale than we paid for Kun. 55 mil. tops.
P.S, don't want Bale, but would take Modric.

Chelsea bid more for modric than we paid for silva in the summer. We can only speculate really but I imagine bale would cost at least what kun did, unless the rags sign him after a few snide tricks and get him on the cheap.

EDIN DZEKO wants Luka Modric to join Manchester City this summer.

SunSport revealed last month that Tottenham’s Croatian midfield star Modric is on Roberto Mancini’s wishlist.

If Spurs fail to make the Champions League, they may be forced to sell Modric or Gareth Bale.

And City striker Dzeko said: “Yes, everyone is after him but I would love it if he came to City. He would be a great addition.

“Besides that, he would have everything at City — Champions League, fighting for the title, great wages.

“I am cheering for him to choose City.”

Ex-Wolfsburg star Dzeko has been linked with a return to Germany.

City may choose to listen to offers for the £27million Bosnian, but the striker insisted: “There are still games left in the league and it is too early to discuss such matters.”

i feel that nasri can play the modric role i think hes played there really well for france a few times if he was happy playing there we could then fit in hazard or bale type player into the lineup.

Time is ripe to unsettle Bale and put the fear of God into Spurs. Modric's value has plummeted after they refused to sell, do the same to Bale. Their season is falling apart.

Just stop me at any point here, but was that not the perfect advert for NOT buying either of those two players? Modric, completely anonymous. Bale, if useless had a speed, that would be it.

Now yes, either may flourish in a squad that isn't completely devoid of tactics. On the other hand, both may be total bottle merchants. Given how much Levy is going to bend us over for either, there have GOT to be better options elsewhere. Surely?
