why is when the away block is free there are always tourists in it ? same happened in the operation one end game agaisnt bayern about 30 spanish people were infront of me

I find this thread extremely distasteful and verging on racist. Judging anyone by there skin colour or ethnicity is something that shouldn't be allowed to exist in today’s society.

Is Balotelli a tourist for playing for us? Would Yaya Toure be here playing for city if we hadn't had the financial investment? And the Sheikh, I take it he must be a tourist as he's only been to the stadium a couple of times over the past three years.

With the Bolton game, they only requested/allocated XXX number of tickets, so the empty seats were then sold off via the ticket office/website/students union.

a large portion of ticket buyers would be people who aren't regular matchgoers.
Have you ever walked down Oxford Road near the University?
Every Race/Nationality/Language of usually young adults you can find is there, this crowd have benefitted from schemes to get them to the stadium (tickets offered at the union, cheaper discounts, and the mcfc facebook page for students)

As for "operation one end" the problem was the tickets were on general sale so anybody could buy a ticket into the end... resulting in many tourist's in that area.

Think back (if you can) to only a few years ago when we wouldn't sell out our home games, and scattered everywhere were empty seats.

Would you rather have 15,000 invisible men or Tourist's who are paying for the seats and who knows might even start supporting the club longterm?

Manchester is a big city, many different nationalities living/working here..... We've always had tourist's - it probably just didn't suit your agenda as they may of been white with local accents.

Lads (and Lasses, I haven't forgotten you...)

First time poster, piggy-backing on this as I don't have the required clout to post my own...

I'm going to be in Manchester around October this year to see my first game (and for those of you ready to jump down my throat, I'm fairly certain my old man has some photos of me in a City shirt at a Hobart test from around 1997). A mate from Manchester is going to have me in hand, but my Mrs is going to be tagging along, at least for a drink before, and we'll need somewhere to stay for the night..

Where's somewhere not too pricey, but nice and decent, happy if its above a pub etc. Prefer something Mrs-friendly... Its my honeymoon after all, and its a fair trip from Melbourne.

Piss off, tourist! :)

I personally welcome our long distance fans, the more the merrier, apart from that glory hunting tosser Austinblue who i think is a bit of a closet rag

I only pretend to support City so I can visit you and Mrs R.Sole and infiltrate your palace of love.

that and learn how to swear when trying to play golf. i am the master, grasshopper

Taking pictures of people who are taking pictures of people who are at the game must be something new?

Been a tourist for nearly 20 years now, season ticket holder for the last 10.

Don't give a fuck if anyone likes it or not.
