5 hours in this shithole today with the misses. It was beyond painful. I swear she would have stayed all day if she could. No sign of any recession in there! Never again.

Man I know the feeling! Now i just point blank refuse to go - end of.
If you look at the seating benches in that place it is full of men just sat there - waiting! I'll tell you when you die ang go to hell it's one of those benches in the Trafford Centre. You sit there day in, day out. Genuine purgatory.

Any shopping trip with a woman is a day from hell. The location is irrelevant.

But I quite like the Trafford Centre in comparison to other similar places. Quite a few shops in there I like and a Wetherspoons to boot. Helps that I only live a mile away too.

As someone else touched on though, the effect places like this have on neighbouring high steets is horrendous. Places like Stretford, Sale, Urmston and Altrincham are a shadow of what they were pre Trafford Centre.

An ex of mine used to want to go to this place every single weekend just to traipse around buying crap we didn't even need, needless to say see got the boot!

I just do not get the concept of shopping as a hobby, I would gladly see these places burn!
Ann Summers?

I hate it !!!! you drive round and round to park then do the 10k to get inside . It's too hot when you get in there !!'you can't sit on a bench cos there full of f ing men.
It truly is hell ;o(

I would rather let the Mrs shit in my mouth than go somewhere like that or IKEA its tinterweb for me mostly cheaper for the same gear and no hassle

Last week there were traffic delays coming out of Trafford Centre... stuck in it for over an hour until we got onto the motorway.

Never going again (if I do it's on a weekday)

Most of the shops are overpriced, selling shit at different prices than their websites/stores in town.

No thanks.

amazing how it divides opinion

The traditional 'local shops' were dying anyway , blame the supermarkets for that, plus local councils who see motorists as cash cows
It's much safer to park(free) and walk around than the city centre
After years of decline and closures in T.P. it's the only significant job provider to have been built in the area.
Some people detest shopping, others enjoy

The effect it's had on the Merseyway Shopping Centre is one of the scandals of our age.

Your kidding if i fancy a cheese and onion pastie, a new TV at 4000% apr or a same day loan there is no greater place on earth, and the locals are just lovely

I will only go first thing on a weekday, only if absolutely necessary and only to Selfridges
Genuinely don't understand people going there to eat or drink. Horrible, soulless place.

Haha, you old people make me laugh. Shopping is fun. And the Trafford Centre is a great place to do it.
