5 hours in this shithole today with the misses. It was beyond painful. I swear she would have stayed all day if she could. No sign of any recession in there! Never again.

Why on earth did you go in the 1st place? Is she not allowed out on her own?

He was probably worried she wouldn't come back

Haha, you old people make me laugh. Shopping is fun. And the Trafford Centre is a great place to do it.

Wore out the rubber ferrule on two walking sticks just to find the gents, no laughing matter being old. If you are (un)lucky you will find out one day.

The place is a hell hole. Every time I've been (not been for a long time), I've wanted to leave within fifteen minutes.

Much prefer town. Loads more shops for men in town, loads more decent shops like Ran and Oi Polloi (in fact don't think there's own like this at all at the TC), its nice being outside in town, there's a City Store in town, there's loads of good bars and places to eat in town...

Last time I went in there I went on those dodgem cars and came away with my back done in thanks to my psycho 10 year old nephew

Had to read that twice mate. I thought you'd had your 'back doors done in', after a quick skim read then!

When I see places like the Trafford Centre I think radical Islam has a point.

Well the place is always full of asians, most of who I would expect to be muslims...so they seem happy with it...

My missus's company have just bought out the Exchange Bar & Grill recently....so been to the Trafford Centre a few times recently....horrid soulless place.

I meant I can see why the militants want to bomb the West.

The one good thing about that place is Legoland, now that is worth a visit.

Can you buy single blocks these days or is it all pre-packed boxes of a certain design. I want quite a few white ones.

As for the T.C. I fucking hate it as I've been there one night every week for the past 3years cleaning out a jellyfish tank and on many occasions I've slept the night in a restaurant watching the fuckers to make sure they're ok. I can tell you it's an eerie feeling walking around it at 4am in the morning, same at Sheffield Meadowhall.

Terrible place, can't find my way round with all the lights on,I remember the woolies fire in piccadilly, god knows if similar happened in there.

I've always liked it. It's like a weird shopping version of Las Vegas. There's weird architecture made to look like other things that don't fit the place, i.e. the food court looking like a big boat, an aztec/egyptian place near pizza hut, Asia and like New Orleans. There's also the ancient looking stuff, couldn't say what that's supposed to be specifically though. I like the theatricality of it.

In terms of the actual shopping it's not that interesting to me. Only one or two shops I would use for myself, but for Christmas shopping it's pretty good. I like that there's a cinema and mini golf upstairs too.

That post puts me in mind of that old movie, what was it now, from 78,
oh yeah, Dawn of the Dead - deserted shopping mall zombies ;-)
Great movie; not sure if there are any zombie fish in it though, to be fair

Lots of Illuminati symbols dotted around the place, Obelisks, pyramids, eagles etc.

arndale every time for me, much more freedom, not as hot and sweaty and not full of fucking rags.

There is no recession and possibly hasn't been one since 2009 according to the ONS.

I was at the Trafford Centre last night for the cinema.
One thing struck me. I considered the care and money lavished on the building and then thought of the dull, built down to a price childrens' hospital in Manchester and thought "we have completely got our priorities wrong as a nation."
