Horse not a problem for me. Meatballs taste the same kind of processed pap, no matter what they're made of.
(Jamie Oliver's 'two kinds of meat' mentor Genarro can do one on this, I'm.afraid).

Point is you're paying for pork and beef, not horse.
Yep, valid point.

But to me, that's like saying I'm paying for a blue plastic handbag instead of a red leather one.
Don't really care either way, as handbags don't it for me at all.

If there were any degree of ongoing held value in the used meatball market I might, but alas, to my knowledge...;-)

No idea. Just fascinated by the fact that anyone could ever make this product fly..(I'm in marketing - it really is a great case study if you think about it).
A quick Google says they are still being sold. 99p for 6, must be top quality stuff in them :-)

I don’t see what the problem is with horse meat. They should just be up front and tell us it’s in there. I’d happily eat horse if I knew it was horse.

Worked there for 11 years. This week was always the worst in the year.
January was bliss though. Absolute ghost town.

When i got my 1st flat on my own as a young lad, I lived on these, tinned peas and tinned potatoes and fray bentos pies till I learned how to cook.
Everybody did :)

Eventually I bought a book called 100 ways with mince. (great title)
I liked the sound of Chilli
I started making enough Chilli for the week, then one day I heated the 4 day old chilli up again, ate it and threw my guts up, fucking thing was rancid :)

Mine was more like home made soup, corned beef hash and a fry up!! :-)

Just horse or horse and donkey?
Either. They’re fed similar food to other animals we eat, their meat would be as acceptable as any other kind.

Deer is very nice meat.

Some people say bear is the nicest meat they’ve ever tasted.
