Best star trek since TOS and despite a few things that irked me (still don't like the new concept klingons) they managed to be a completely fresh and diferent while tieing into the continuity of the franchise and not dismisisng it (unlike the shite khan remake into darkness was even if it is a different timeline).

Thankfully they went for a more TOS, DS9, Voyager action/science fiction style not the boring TNG drone on about fucking diagnostics, waffle and if an andriod can cry bullshit

It will be interesting to see if this links with 'Discovery' in some way.

Like say, if 'Discovery' uses its uncontrolled 'time jump' to a older future retired captain 'Picard'. That way, there's a reason to be reintroduced to the 'Jean-Luc Picard' legend.

Whatever happens, there can't be a backwards step in revisiting 'TNG' as it was.

No, that ship has sailed.

'Discovery' has upped the ante and the new 'Picard' vehicle will have to hop along to catch the ride.

Why the fook don't they just hire some of the stunt coordinators from classic martial art film studios like the Shaw Brothers (even Yeun Woo-ping from "The Matrix" will do!), to put this series into the place it should be?! Just fookin' pay 'em!
