This looks very promising.....
Guess who's back with new friends AND... 'Gun Kata/ Gun Fu' (anybody remember that style)??
Isn't he fucking dead yet ?
First look at Namor by the looks of it
Trailer 2 for 'The Sandman'
I'm not going to pretend I know what's going on!
Anyway, I forgot about this one yesterday...
It kind of looks fun without the 'female makes male look stupid' angle.
Was the sandman not in the recent Spider-Man film ?
And white, for me that’s the classic Namor from the comic books, I have no problem with them changing g the race, hell Aquaman has already, I just think whenever I think of Namor I think back to my first comic books back in the 70s.Goosebumps!
'Namor' looks a bit... thick? Used to seeing him athletic and regal looking!
Stallone's back...
I didn't like american gods the TV show, stopped watching it after she stomped on the guy's head. I loved the book, Probably because my imagination was doing the work, but, I was only young when I read the Sandman, so that's imprinted more, and I know it comes out soon, and you know what, I've seen the trailer and I might swerve this, I probably won't, I'll watch the first episode and see how it is.The Sandman is the best comic book I've ever read (though tbh, I've not read a huge amount) and I'm a little apprehensive in how they're going to adapt it. All the casting controversary hasn't bothered me as that's just the usual anti-woke bullshit. I presume they're just going to follow the core Dream story. Will be interesting to see if 24 hours gets toned down.
I honestly don't think there's any way they can do the source material justice but I'll try and be objective when I watch it and treat it as two different entities in their own right. Did a re-read of the entire Sandman series in 2020 (I own the Absolute editions) as I'd picked up Hy Bender's Companion book and wanted to do a read-along with that and see what I'd missed so it's still relatively fresh and objectivity may be difficult.I didn't like american gods the TV show, stopped watching it after she stomped on the guy's head. That's a good way of looking at it, treating it as 2 separate entities.. I'll try do that too. I read the whole thing when I was 11, my sis had the books, and I reread them but it's been easy 20 years ago yet I remember loads about it. Id be up past my bed time reading them.I honestly don't think there's any way they can do the source material justice but I'll try and be objective when I watch it and treat it as two different entities in their own right.
