Transfer Strategy

No, but with the current trajectories of the two squads they will likely have a better one than us in a few years. They've bought three brilliant players this summer. We've not even addressed a single hole in our squad.
We'll still be ten points ahead of them at the end of the season and the striker situation will be addressed. Please calm down everyone, it's not the end of the world.

I like to look at the positives.

Aguero going is sad but in reality he had no impact on what we won last year. 2 of his 4 league goals were in a game when we had wine the league.

Garcia flattered to deceive and while I see a player in him, he just struggled with the physicality. Ake is now back and we know he can easily cover Garcia’s absence.

Mendy could also be gone. Again, he didn’t do much last season and probably cost us as many points as he helped us gain in assists and goals.

The rest of the squad have had another year together. We have lots of options in midfield and that is where Pep believes games are won and lost.

Palmer and Delap could be involved more and Phil has even more experience under his belt.

We also have Grealish to help cover any absences to Dr Bruyne and Foden - which has already been the case.
I literally forgot Eric Garcia even existed until I just read your post.

That's how irrelevant and pointless he was.

Go in big and loud, alert everyone, quibble about the price no matter how obvious they'll hold out, walk away, walk back, offer Jesus and Sterling, offer to pay in add ons, ask for 4 wks to think about it, realise you only spoke to the receptionist, let a rival seal the deal in hours.
Hi Txiki

FFS! It’s no wonder it all goes to shit. Someone wants sacking.

the striker situation will be addressed

That's what we said ahead of this summer. Said similar countless times about replacing Kompany, replacing Fernandinho, getting a new LB etc. With this board it can sometimes take consecutive years of a glaring problem being a detriment before they shell out to fix it.

To many extremes on both sides, let's judge when the window closes.

After that we need to assess if our rivals are stronger or weaker. As it stands its not even open for debate.
