No major surprises here what is surprising is then people wonder why us black people do not trust the police, the law or the judicial system.
R.I.P. Trayvon Martin and Steven Lawrence.
Didnt hear you piping up about jacksons perverted antics or oj simpsons trial..no rioting to be seen then..
Im pretty much sick to the back teeth of reading and seeing anything that doesnt go right for the black folks..its a riot..oh yeah then they play the race card, police card and slave card...
The steven lawrence case is a prime example,do you know how many more young men have been killed in this country? why is steven lawrence so special?...
yeah, why weren't you on here in 1994 calling out OJ? just another person only interested in being black when it suits him. A glory hunter of black if you will.
Didn't hear white people being disgusted at the little kid's parents who more or less pimped the kid out to Jackson for the 15 mil.
Also pretty sure We/the man got even with OJ, if you didn't notice.
Some of the stuff people are saying is absolutely insane and completely out of touch.
These cases end up being used to represent what an entire race of people go through. I believe its something like 5% of the entire population of black males in the states are in prison, they make up like 40% of prison population and are 10 or 15 % of the people in the country(just going off memory, its been a while). Therefore either the US is a pretty institutionally racist place , or blacks are evil people and should be put in internment camps.
I suppose rioting and other non positive things can over shadow the actual event, as I think/hope there would have been a bit more outrage over what happened to duggan if people didn't steal the focus of it robbing stores and shit. However, eventually people get pushed too far.
