Trayvon Martin

Yes, I'm the idiot when you're the one who jumps from "you" to "he" when addressing the same person. I can only read what is put in front of me.

I'm not appointing myself anything. It is a fact that I have remained objective concerning this case. The evidence is in the thread. The evidence for your crazed rush to judgement is also.
My humble apologies. I did indeed make a grammatical error.

Sheer comedy.

Yes, about 80 pages back I was under that impression. Now I know Zimmerman has stated it was a face to face confrontation.

The pertinent point however remains that it was Martin who initiated this confrontation rather than simply going back to his fathers fiancées house.
You have no evidence for that.
You should read this- <a class="postlink" href="http://www.wagist.com/2012/dan-linehan/the-missing-230-and-deedees-testimony" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.wagist.com/2012/dan-linehan/ ... -testimony</a>

You are simply inventing shit to fit your bias.

You cannot see what Trayvon did wrong? Come to the US and step to someone with, "You got a problem? Now you do." and see if that works out for you.

Come to the UK and follow a guy home because you think he's acting suspicious then get out of the your car and shoot him after a struggle and see if that works out for you sonny jim.
Is that what happened, old timer? You sure....?

Yes you young whippersnapper, I'm sure.

— As he was trying to phone 911 again, "the suspect punched me in the face."

— He was knocked to the ground, Zimmerman says, and a struggle began. At one point, he writes that the suspect said "you gonna die tonight [expletive]."

— Trayvon tried to get to Zimmerman's gun, Zimmerman writes. "In fear for my life," Zimmerman says, he "fired one shot."

Who the fuck are you arguing with? Get it straight.

The kid had time to go home, but he didn't. He chose to confront George Zimmerman, punch him in the face, and bash his head on the sidewalk.

Your version of events is only wishful thinking.

LOL black teenagers from Miami do not even speak like that. I actually started laughing at,

"You got a problem? YOU DO NOW!!" Hahahahaha that sounds like something from an 80s Chuck Norris movie. What a flimsy defense if you are going to attempt to frame someone at least get familiar with the terms people use and the way people speak.

LOL @ the unarmed man saying "You are going to die tonight" to the man who has been exposed of making numerous racist remarks and being rejected by the police force so was playing vigilante and HAD A GUN ON HIM.

If this is what he is going to try and get a jury to believe he is never going to see daylight as a free man.

Also Ska is very right you have no proof to support your claims as the witnesses that have come forward are all saying Trayvon was being pursued.

So your counter to this "defense" claim is a stereotype?

So you think the judge should just go 'no, all blacks are the same and blacks don't talk like that so the kids clearly in the clear'?

Bit racist.

I'd imagine there's hundreds of thousands of different variants of verbal communication by black teenagers and that the courts need to look beyond a question as asinine and offensive as 'is this how a black would act'.

He's an expert on anything and everything. Be careful you don't prove him wrong, because he will tell you to "go and educate yourself you're making a fool of yourself" before finding out that he was wrong in the first place and made a huge twat of himself.
Don't expect him to apologise though, he'll just carry on as arrogantly as he's always done.

No comments on the map and timeline?

Not surprised.

Btw, "do you have a problem", "Is there a problem", "you gotta problem", what's the problem", and any variation is common throughout the US by all groups. Less so in immigrant communities. And witty comebacks are just are prevalent.

If the shooter had been even slightly streetwise he would have said something along the lines of "No, but I'll find one real quick."

Witnesses. They're all tainted.

No one commented on the videos?

Following the route and listening to him on video, his account seems plausible, his reason for getting out of the car, being ambushed,so he said, where he was, seems plausible too,who knows,a jury will have more information and from other sources, lets hope they make the right decision based on the evidence provided.

Match that video to the map I p osted a couple of pages back and you will see that the kid clearly doubled back with the intention of confronting GZ.

Anyone following the Zimmerman trial?

The prosecution's star witness, Rachel Jeantel, imploded today after a very fishy courtroom performance including references to Zimmerman as a 'creepy ass cracker' and a declaration that she would not return to court after her first appearance. She also claimed she was unable to read cursive writing in a letter written on her behalf (and signed by her).

If the prosecution rests on her testimony (she was apparently the last person to speak to Martin alive, over the phone), Zimmerman will walk from this.

Sadly, due to ridiculous murder charter laws prevalent in so many American states, there's a good chance an irrational paranoid gun-toting killer, will walk.
Surely not? I always thought that he'd get some sort of lenient sentence, but not for one second did I think he'd walk. I'll have to go and watch that YouTube video posted above as I can't view it on this thing I'm using.

Someone point me in the direction of the damning evidence of Zimmerman.

Edit. Read that back and it sound like I'm saying there isn't any. Which I'm not. Just so many websites saying Zimmerman is innocent so there must be some that offer the opposite o preferably a balanced view.

There was a lively debate on here last year, but you'd have to trawl through a lot of posts. I'm going to do some digging again tomorrow as it's a fascinating case. It will be interesting to get the thoughts of our posters from America as they'll hopefully give us the low down on what's been going.
