He made a dastardly mistake
We all have moments of madness and do something stupid in the heat of the moment when upset. It doesn't make it right but it happens, nobody is an emotionless robot. I like the bloke, he speaks well about us and was a half decent player too. The racist statement is a bit much, the police were responding to a report of a crime, no idea how he has been singled out because of his colour. Thousands of white men are arrested everyday as well, it is a bad call to make.

My reading of that is that he has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his Mrs in a domestic, got in his car pissed up when leaving the house before the law arrived, and then hit a pedestrian while driving pissed
