298 people died so I think the banner should mention that and not just the 2 who were Geordie fans. Have them as the main 2 by all means but I think some mention needs to be made of the others.

The papers would have a field day. "city fans disrespect 296 dead people at football match......"

Disagree.
The tribute is to 2 specific people who tragically passed away doing something they loved....following their football Club. And there lies the connection on August 17th.
The ground will have 2 less people inside the Stadium that otherwise would have been there, not 298.
