Trophy Parade in Manchester | Mon 25th May

Realistically, how many are going to celebrate the achievements of the women's team?
They could have had their own celebration on the Joie Stadium for those interested.

We've had enough parades to celebrate league titles to be doing them for cup wins now. Very different situation to 2011.
Parade the trophies after the villa game and then have them on display somewhere at the ground in the weeks after for people to go and have a photo taken with them. Job done.

Its obvs you dont pay any attention to the women's team or how theyre marking their acheivements so why dont you just stop gobbing off about it?

Can’t believe people are saying we shouldn’t have a parade for the domestic cup double, even without the women’s and youth cup in there. Only the 6th time this has ever been done and only us and Liverpool that have done it twice. It will be hammered in town next week as usual and also in the Coop live.

Might even be a domestic treble yet….

Many can’t afford to come to the games. Others just can’t get tickets.

The parade gives the club and the players a chance to say, "Thank you" to the city and the people of Manchester.

It’s not costing us, the supporters, anything, apart from our time and expenses to reach the parade route.

I just don’t understand the negativity.
Negativity on Blue moan, never.

Correct the domestic double hasn’t been done by many teams think it’s 5 we done it twice so as Liverpool the other 3 once and bacon in 25 years could only do it once

I’m going to do what I did for 2012. A couple of hours in moon under the water, then onto the mitre before establishing my spot to thank the club as the buses go by.

Meant to be 25 degrees and pure sun. It’s going to be amazing and anyone criticising it must lead the most saddest of lives.

I rarely get to go to the parades as I often can’t get out of work at this time of year at the time they’re on. Only been to the 2011 one that went from Town to the Etihad and the 2019 one that ended outside the Cathedral.

This being a Bank Holiday will be different.

Half term that week n’all so kids will be off the next day so no worries about getting home late because of school the next day.

Exactly, I savoured yesterday, and took a last look at Wembley, we’ve been spoiled, post Pep who knows when we will be back.
Funny you should say that as I did exactly the same. As I got to the top step at the exit from the seats I turned around to have a last look. You never know what the future holds and we have indeed been spoiled these last 15 years since Bobby Manc set the ball rolling. What a ride it's been - and who knows, it may still not be over. :-)

It’s a chance to celebrate the men’s, women’s and youth successes as one club.

It’s going to be sunny and it’s a bank holiday. There’s some huge personalities leaving the club and a great way to say bye to them.

What’s with all the moaning? Whether we have over 250,000 there like the Treble parade, or 70,000 there like one of the lesser ones, it doesn’t matter. Sad wankers on the internet who are bitter about City will screenshot a gap in the crowd and pretend the entire parade was like that irrespective of how many go.

Went to a talk by @Gary James once that mentioned the 1904 parade was a big one and was a catalyst for football becoming big in Manchester.

Those FA Cup final celebrations may have stopped us winning the double that season as we went to Everton the very next day after the final, where a win would have won us the league, but we lost (as I bet we were still drunk!).
Thanks for the mention. The homecoming parade was actually after the Everton game. City celebrated in London then went to New Brighton on the Sunday, staying overnight. on the Monday they played Evertom , who congratulated City and put the FA Cup on display at Goodison Park. Then straight after the game they legged it to the station, arriving back in Manchester about 9.30 and then toured the city which was absolutely packed. I talk about it here (and there's a link to a film I did with City on the 1904 homecoming too):

We have to move on from the Rag, Scouse, Tarquin, and general City haters plaguing social media.

We know what’s going to come during annd after the trophy parade across social media. We should be used to it by now.

Fuck them all!

Let’s enjoy the parade and the Coop Live Arena event and celebrate the achievements of the all the City teams that have won trophies this season on a sunny, warm, and dry Bank Holiday Monday,
