Trophy Parade | Sunday 26th May, 19:30

I know where you’re coming from especially about the players getting shit faced, but I disagree, parades are for the fans and thousands of people love them.

I can see why Pep was against us having one this year if we lost the cup final though.

When did Guardiola say he was against it?

Get up to speed mate, in the rival fans thread 90% of posters on here were saying rangers were their second team!

Weird as fuck, short memories some people.
Agreed, Im sure it was the over zealous type that did . A lot of our musician fans including your namesake (or you, yourself Mr Marr!) have Irish roots and probably wouldn't agree with the 90! Billy Duffy another Celtic roots blue as well as famous others of course!

The manager owns a nice restaurant. Why couldn’t they have just gone there - some good food, nice wine and celebrate like a bunch of adults not like a load of students on New Year’s Eve.
Never a truer word...as fans we should be helping them get better. Pal came with me to Fulham away, loved the atmosphere and the game as well as our professional approach..''all your songs have a bit about getting on the piss though'' he's right as well, funny as they are we don't want a pub team image (Arsenal of yester year - Utd in 80's) Seeped into players mindset that it's alright, part of City really...look what happened

Hate to say it, but parades are an old, tired, pre-internet/socials/streaming holdover.

And, truth be told, I hate the staged hype that surrounds them and if I see another wasted, barely vertical, completely incoherent player OVERcelebrating days after the event, I’m going to throw up myself!

What is it about winning a professional award that makes athletes, esp British athletes, get shit-faced and make themselves look like an idiot millionaire who doesn’t know how to act his age, not his shoe size?

So, fucking tiresome! If you win a trophy, have a presentation to the fans at the next home game and get on with it!

It’s understandable to see kids, and grown men and women losing their shit over a significant victory AT an athletic competition, but to carry that over for days into a fucking painful glitzy celebration in the city? REALLY?

Dear me. This is probably the most miserable thread I've ever seen on here, and you've got some pretty stiff competition from Morrissey fans!

Whatever City do we get criticised for it, so we may as well have nad it. Had we not had a parade we would have been slated for being arrogant. I just wouldn't have expected criticism from our own fans for having a parade! Has it really come to this?

Many of us had never seen a parade until 2011 so I enjoy every one as if it's the last. The kids and people who can't get to matches for whatever reason want to see players like Haaland, Foden and de Bruyne. Who would deny them that?

With a Bank Holiday to look forward to the pubs in town were rocking on Sunday night. You missed out but you weren't missed.

Folks giving @ChicagoBlue grief.... it could be that his/her envy got the better of them? Think about it, he is in America, can't get to the parade, has had a few drinks and is feeling envious that he can't be here with us celebrating.

We've all said things in drink that maybe we regret afterwards? Maybe that is what has happened here.

@ChicagoBlue I hope I am right and you are not as upset as you sound in your post? I'm hoping it is more, wish I was there with the rest of the lads and lasses?

I know I wished I could have been with them.

All the best. EB

Chicago Blue.

What do you think of the St Patrick's Day Parade in Chicago? Watched by 1000's of plastic Irish Americans, and Americans who have no connection to Ireland.

Maybe City and MCC should turn the River Irwell blue when City win their next PL title.
