It clearly isn't only the booze, but that KO off time for a derby is just stupid, and just goes to show that the FA, the PL, and the clubs are only interested in the money they can generate, and not fans or common sense.

Yesterday there was a weak excuse for the abuse, the hatred and violence because people had been under the influence of something or other.The chap assaulted in 317 has been a blue for 50 years, he has posted on Facebook, that he left hospitals at 2am. I can honestly say it was the most vicious attack I have ever seen in over 40 years of watching City. Hope the perpetrator is sentenced to time inside.
A lesson I learned many years ago was that just because people wear the same "badge" whether it's your employer, race, religion or football club, doesn't mean that they're all sound people. Supporting City we have BAME people and racists, LGBT people and homophobes, Jews and antisemites, people who wouldn't hurt a fly and thugs, teetotallers and alcoholics, etc. In a 50,000 crowd there are 50,000 individuals each with their own views and issues. The fact they're all City fans doesn't change that. That why these things happen.If a stranger/alien read many of the comments on here - especially the political threads - then they'd think city on city abuse was a normal thing. It's getting worse and worse on here and obviously in the ground. Gone are the good old days when you liked a person and respected them just because they supported city.
