I too stood in the home end at West Ham once in the early 90s (not sure why, maybe the away section was all ticket and I couldn't get one?) We actually won that day thanks to a last minute winner from Colin HendryI’ve been in the “wrong” end once in my life (at West Ham) and I’d never do it again as I couldn’t enjoy the day. We lost and I was conscious of being City all the way through.
The rags are the ultimate love hate club and only one of their odious fans celebrates a goal in our section. It’s so disrespectful to do it.
I don't condone twatting rival supporters when their team score (even rags!) and
obviously I was cheering and jumping up and down inside when City scored at Upton Park that day, but sensibly showed restraint.
As you say, not only is it disrectful to the home fans in ' their section 'but it's also pretty stupid and provocative!
