Trump in Stormy Indictment Popcorn Fest.

It's been widely reported. (https://www.businesstoday.in/latest...-he-appears-in-court-report-374393-2023-03-22)

Whether or not he actually wants to be cuffed, or if it's just bravado and theatre is another matter.
Never misunderestimate the stupidity of the American public.

While in any normal scenario this would be the end of a political career that should never have started in the first place, we live in interesting times.

He knows he's not actually going to go to prison, and this clown show gives him loads of media profile and the ability to continue to push the narrative that he's being persecuted. The evil Democrats! Fake news!

It plays into his tiny hands.

I think there is a whole lot more to be revealed about the origins of Trump as a 'serious' political candidate, and I think Russia features very heavily in that part of the story.

In terms of his private life, being nominated by the GOP and subsequently elected in 2016 was the WORST thing that could have happened to Trump as it opened him up to levels of scrutiny beyond anything he'd ever experienced before. It exposed his whole empire as a disgustingly corrupt organisation, and the reputational damage to many who have been associated with him and his companies is wide reaching.

I hope he does go to prison. I won't hold my breath.

He clearly never actually wanted to win. It was all a money making grift.

The look on his mrs face when he actually won the bloody thing...crikey.

The Russian interference angle is fascinating. During lockdown I had a lot of time on my hands and read a fair few books about Trump and post-truth politics. The story of (ex MI6) Christopher Steele and the dossier he compiled on Russian interference is mind-bending isn't it.

It really is. All the indicators (money/extortion/blackmail) of trump and his family being a potential Russian asset are in place and I'm not sure it would take much to connect the dots. Who knows; maybe the US security services already know the truth. Maybe they have the 'pee tapes'...

Tax fraud which is still to come I would suggest and not in the current seal would be the best chance I think in court to stick if proven from what I have seen to date.

Stormy is a convenient side show.
Tax Fraud could be the outcome of the Stormy affair. He claimed the payment was a “business expense”. If he then deducted it from his taxes on that basis and they now know it was a payoff, he will be guilty of tax evasion.

Stormy isn’t a side show, it’s a shit show for Trump.

That’s a separate investigation and will be separate indictments.
Still to come as I mentioned outside Stormy the present seal may well include the Election aftermath and Classified Documents however they might be harder to prosecute given DOJ 's outcome and these are at a state level.

I still think the Tax Fraud is the best bet for the prosecution at least if what the assert has happened is the case albeit its the Trump Organisation but he was a director when the alleged breaches occurred.

One of the biggest mistakes Trump ever made was hanging Michael Cohen out to dry. You don't fuck over the one guy who not only knows where all the bodies are buried, but was the bloke who was paid to dig the holes.

Cohen's book is hilarious btw. It reads like an episode of the Sopranos.
