What a tragedy. Thoughts to anyone there or with friends/relatives involved.
The thing is, it's inevitable that this is going to happen in any country sat on a subduction zone.

An earthquake can't yet be predicted. How they can say that there is a 70% chance i really dont understand.

i know, i wasn't referring to the 70% but if an earthquake of that magnitude went off now well it could be devastating.

Japan deals with earthquakes very well, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake isn't much to a country like Japan. What really messed them up was the Tsunami.
