A Thread about a disaster got pulled? Only on here. Back on topic. Anyone know how bad the other explosion was? Caught a glimpse of the news before saying 170,000 people had been evacuated.

i'm assuming you did'nt read the last few pages?
no course not, you would'nt have posted such a shit post had you done.

No, I didn't.

I still can't get my head around the need for jokes about people dieing but thats just me,but if you have ever lost anyone close then you might understand how it leaves you feeling empty and hurt.

There really is no point in a post like this. Jokes will always happen about anything.

So, have the aftershocks stopped? Any tsunami warnings still being made? Or is the worst over now?

They said on the news earlier that in some parts they were getting small Aftershocks every hour. Not sure if they're still happening.

What a shitty way to start.

Anyways here is a summary of what went wrong with Chernobyl.

I still don't think anything like this is possible in Japan ( i am really hoping i am right )

i thought they were running a power failure simulation and fucked it up, was under the impression it was a human error accident?

A failed test that some how added more energy into the reaction. It was human error and the conditions are different from that in Japan. I am no expert, not even close, but from my understanding, i don't think Japan's nuclear plant can fail like Chernobyl did.

i've moved some of the crap, i do apologise cos some proper posts were lost.
lets stay on topic and just think twice before posting.
also i dont think there is room for humour in this thread.
cheers.

Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan says the nuclear crisis is not the same as the Chernobyl disaster of 1986.
"Radiation has been released in the air, but there are no reports that a large amount was released," Jiji news agency quoted him as saying. "This is fundamentally different from the Chernobyl accident. We are working to prevent damage from spreading."
