TUC Conference

Erm, apart from I am gobsmacked they actually back these pay levels for town hall clerks and the such the pay freeze does not include those who earn less than £21,000 a year

Rabble rousing of the highest order but with a we're alright jack mentality[/quote]

Not true the LGE are refusing to include Local Government workers in the pay award. Workers in that sector have either been awarded below inflation rises or non at all for years.

Get off the Tax Payers Alliance web site and get your facts right.

Fuck the unions and any cnut thats in one

YEAH!

Life was much better when employers could treat workers however they wanted, sack any dissenters, and pay them a pittance whilst expecting them to be thankful for it.

Unions are true democracy in action, they represent freedom.

Why do you hate freedom? Why do you hate democracy? Are you a fascist Nazi or something?

;)
Well said that man (shop steward Baesystems) trying to look after people from the ruthless arrogant arseholes trying to pay us F*$k all.

The agitater that is Crowe and his ilk have stated that 'Not one job must go.' This is the kind of entrenched nonsense that people like him spouted in the past. It did'nt work then and it won't work now. There is no need to cut doctors, nurses, road sweepers cleaners etc; British people are not stupid we know these are essential and accept public services are vital.
What they also know is that the last Govt. massively increased the public sector and it is now stuffed to the gunnels with outreach workers, anti smoking coordinators, 5 a day advisors, Gypsy and traveller facilitators and a myriad of other totally useless ruinously expensive leeches on the public purse. They also know that being asked to work until they drop whilst these people are retiring up to 15 years before them is not on. On top of all this Crowe and his kind utter such drivel as 'We don't accept misery for all.'
This is true; misery for the rest of us must be ok though.

So you feel that it is right for up to 30% of Benefit Fraud Investigators to be "re-deployed" or sacked?

Where on earth did benefit fraud investigators get cited by Ancient Citizen? but as you have raised this particular role (and I assume you have an agenda for highlighting this group of workers) I would say yes re-train and re-deploy them to look at why far more benefits are paid in error than fraudulently claimed from our painfully invasive and overly complicated benefit system - that will have a better return for the tax-payers - was that the response you were looking for?

now a question for those that subscribe to the "not one job to be lost" doctrine - look beyond the tragic human cost of this for a moment - do you feel that every single public sector job provides both a needed service and value for money to the tax-payer?

As blues we should know that there is happiness without success or wealth.

Happiness is an inner feeling of contentment, regardless of success or wealth.

It can be therefore concluded that we do not need wealth to be happy.

Greed is the root of many evils. Perhaps ask the rags.

Bob crow is a giant among trade unionists
tecnnology has made many jobs redundant ,when this happens the employer /govt should retrain to a modern day job

divide the work by the amoun t of people

15 hour weeks are perfectly feasible

It seems very clear that modern day politics has destroyed community.

Where is the community? The common good, the respect of all people?

It has been destroyed by the those that have taken advantage of the working people.

The same people that were butchered in the 2 world wars.

It is time that the backbone of this country, those that sacrificed so much in the name of freedom are remembered.

We owe it to the memory of their soles.

End this fast buck society. Return to the values that fought this evil.
