Turnstiles Broke! Massives Queues Outside The Ground

WHEN the football bubble bursts, and corporate types no longer see football as the done thing, who then supports the club? You think all the pissed off supporters who were charged a fortune for seats, shifted about at will, treated like dogs etc etc will come flooding back?!

This is a doubled edged sword. The Club are obsessed with attracting more corporates and providing more £299 seats. My preference would be to start adult season card prices at £400 or £500 and keep an extra corporate seats to an absolute minimum.

The whole infrastructure getting to the ground away from the ground (by car, tram or bus) getting in the ground, buying a pint at the ground , a pie at the ground is a downright fucking shambles. End of.

Absolutely agree.
Impossible to get a pint at half time in the new south stand unless you miss some of first half or miss some of second. They dont even relay the match so you can at least watch the action whilst in the queue.......so i dont bother - there loss!!

Just a question, where do entrances W & S let you into? I only ask as if it's into level 1 why can those who used to have access to P & Y not have access through these so Y & W for one side and P & S for the other. I am asking as I genuinely am not aware what they are for just assumed they were for corporate but surely corperate can enter from the main entrance and walk round.

Secondly, if this is going to be the norm for the future(it is said the wall is temporary for the season but why not use partitions rather than build a wall if thats the case), maybe the away fans need to be moved from the bottom tier next season to free up turnstlies, again just a suggestion.

What I want to know Is the corporate block in SS2 behind the goal was only a third full with 5 minutes of the second half played. The hospitality must be that good that the plastic ****s would rather feed their bellies with some posh grub, rather than feasting on the delights of Silva, Aguero, De Bruyne etc.
I didn't realise prawn sandwiches tasted that good.
What's it like living in a cave?
The corporate seats in the CB and East stands have been virtually empty for the first five minutes of the second half every match since we moved from Maine Road in 2003.

When was halftime half an hour long?

I had to laugh at that.
The club said they "redirected fans to another entrance".
actually they just opened a gate and let hundreds of fans charge towards it.

I'm a 30 year season ticket holder and it takes a lot for me to criticise the club - i hate to do it - but today was just inexcusable.

What could they have done to stop 100's of fans charging for an open gate ?

Are those fans not at fault for not patiently walking towards the open gate or are they to thick and fucking stupid needing to be reminded of a Hillsborough style crush.

That was the hyperbole you wanted from your suggestive comment right ?

I am not disagreeing per se. When the corporate suits are planning our growth as a club they are planning ultimately for a 76,000 seater stadium. Improved transport links (desperately needed) and the development of the "eastern gateway". Essentially the development of new Islington, ancoats, holt town, the wider campus site and ultimately Manchester bid for the expo expedition which I think is in 2030 which Our owners are heavily in partnership with Manchester council on. They have a longer term investment for the wider area which will in time see us playing in an incredible arena. They are hard nosed businessmen. Unfortunately maybe they are not sat worrying that Squirty has sat with his mate in the same place for ten years and wil have to move. They couldn't give a fuck. They are basically saying that is collateral damage for the juggernaught of the longer term vision. The longer term plan is not to have only 500 corporate seats on a Lower tier that holds 25000 people and I can understand that. There does seem to have been a few minor fuck ups with things like the Celtic queue and the piss poor management of the turnstiles today but they will just have a review next week and implement some improvements. That is not the big issue here.
I don't sit with my 'mate' you numpty and couldn't care less whether they build a fish tank for rich jcls or not, my complaint which you refuted, was about the treatment of fans and how the match day experience, sic, is worsening
Evidenced by all but a blinkered few.

Complaints about the concession stands, queues to get in, reduction of toilets whilst increasing capacity, car parks and security are all legitimate causes for concern.

Good job the football is brilliant.

I'm not on about corporate in CB or East stand ya smarmy ****. In case you're not aware, I've regularly left my cave since 2003 to attend games. But the block I was on about has only been corporate this(possibility last as well) season.

We could move away fans from level one now. Very few teams take all three levels anyway.

what? I'm telling you what happened.
I don't need to suggest anything I'm simply telling you that opening a gate at kick off next to hundreds of fans who are already pissed off was a terrible idea and inevitably resulted in those fans rushing towards that Gate.
Don't see how you can take exception to what I posted.

Harsh that mate
When I met my youngest daughter at the game yesterday she asked me who Tim of the oak was?
She's on here but rarely posts. I asked why and she said I've noticed him following you all over the forum making a stupid comment after nearly every post I make, except in off topic.
She asked if that was not what we call a troll and I replied 'no he's just a sad bastard who thinks following and abusing an old timer died in the wool blue fun'.

Hugely intelligent point you have made that your mate is in fact a family member in the context of my post. Well done.

Apart from the issue in 126 and 127 - how is it worsening for example for someone sat in say the 3rd tier?
