TV Fixtures - 2020/21

So basically for someone who pays Sky, BT Sport, Amazon Prime and BBC (TV Licence) already ... it's just pray every month that ALL or most of City games get picked up for TV, else that's additional £15 every game that's not picked up ... that is the only LEGAL way to watch City if you're in the UK now on ... great!

Disgrace as usual, thank God for IPTV. Wouldn’t mind if they said a large amount of that revenue would go down to the lower league clubs but more chance of Boris being honest.

Not read any articles on this but I don't know why the clubs haven't pushed this that they will do it through their own streaming platforms? Ideally I wouldn't spend any additional money to watch a game on TV/laptop but I'd rather give my money directly to City than to Sky/BT. If it was £14.95 on Sky but £17 on CityTV I'd still give it to City as I'd rather my money go on the wages of Manchester City employees not to fund Martin Tyler's make up artist.

Is anyone even enjoying watching these games as part of their existing packages anyway?

I'm still watching them as it's at least something mildly diverting with so little else to do at the moment, but ultimately I'm not massively invested in watching games without fans and I definitely don't enjoy it enough to pay £15 a pop. I think they'll be surprised at how poor the uptake is on this.

People who have watched “free streams” or use iptv wouldn’t even pay half that would they pay £5? When you can get a year or a month for doubled that or half of it!

Agree with this, I don’t watch the games as often as I used too and tend to miss a few goals live when I do as I’ll be messing on my phone. Certainly won’t pay extra for the privilege of watching PPV, be interesting to see how clubs who have taken season ticket money handle this too.

The PL clubs could have generated some goodwill offering to show all their games free during the covid crisis, or at least while fans cannot attend. Every PL club could easily afford to subsidise that, some may even gain new fans if they did. But no, they continue to think of ways to make money from fans.

All fixtures until the end of October will continue to be made available for supporters to watch live in the United Kingdom

The Premier League today confirmed all fixtures until the end of October will continue to be made available for fans to watch live in the United Kingdom.

Under these new arrangements, the current live match selections will remain in place and will be broadcast as normal.

In addition, the five matches per round not already selected will be made available to supporters on a pay-per-view basis, accessed via BT Sport Box Office and Sky Sports Box Office platforms.

Clubs today agreed this interim solution to enable all fans to continue to watch their teams live.

The Premier League has worked closely with Sky Sports and BT Sport to provide this arrangement and is grateful for their support.

The agreement will be regularly reviewed in consultation with clubs and in line with any decisions made by Government regarding the return of spectators to stadiums.

Football is not the same without supporters at matches. The Premier League and our clubs remain committed to the safe return of fans as soon as possible.

An updated broadcast list of matches will be announced later today.
