TV Fixtures - 2020/21

Cost Breakdown

BBC - TV Licence - £157.50 annual - £13.125 per month

Sky Sports - £25 add on but you need Sky+ or SkyQ first so overall monthly £60.00 - £80.00 per month

BT Sport - £8 per month (but that's when you pay £64.99 for Full Fibre broadband) otherwise £15 per month if you have other BT broadband, or £25 if not with BT

Amazon Prime - £79.99 annual - £6.66 per month (if paid annually upfront, otherwise on monthly sub it's £7.99pm)

On top of all this NOW pray that City's games are picked for TV so they are covered in these ... else £15 each would mean if 2 games that month aren't picked is £30 for just them two.

Right, time to seriously look at those "dodgy streams" and not so legal IPTV solutions ... if anyone has a good working solution for them, please DM me ... don't mind paying (obviously to replace above) as long as quality and availability is not an issue.

You can get sky £24 a month and 3 people can watch it (3 month deal), it was £15 in June. Not bad when you split it three ways but you need a Now TV box to watch on telly.

Amazon can also be share between 2 accounts, and would only be one month in December when they have the games.

Best deal I could get for BT was £10 for a month and shared 2 ways.

The deals change all the time, but at the moment it is only £13 a month for Sky and BT combined, so £15 for a match is a piss take. They saw the EFL was ripping fans off £10 a game and went one further.

Pay-as-you go is fine but £15 per match is a rip-off. I am getting all SKY football and all BT Sports now for £20 a month via Newsnow and the BTsport apps. You have to be a BT Broadband customer but that's also a very good deal with all phone calls free.
The Premier League needs to set up its own streaming service and go direct to fans or do with a deal with Amazon or Netflix. UK fans are just being abused. We pay more for TV football than the rest of the world. The maximum charge for a one-off game should be £10. SKY is just destroying itself by alienating its own customer base. It can't survive long-term like this.
Broadcast football has become like our useless train ticketing system which has now essentially collapsed.

It will be interesting to see the next batch of TV fixtures for 2021, all the top clubs (biggest following) will likely be PPV.
That would be a sure way for Sky/BT to lose thousands of subscribers, they make far more money from monthly subscribers than they ever would from PPV.

Damn site cheaper than going to the game. Why on earth should people get it free? if there was no Covid the game wouldn’t be on. Imagine no Covid and the game wasn’t picked for TV but you could pay £15 to watch a game, that would seem good value
And anyway City won’t be affected it will be United and Liverpool they will want to sneak on PPV

There are a lot of people on Bluemoon who “claim” to have connections with the Club...talk to them ffs
Now is the time for the Club to come out and explain just exactly where they stand on this issue.
Personally, I thought City did well by their supporters ...now it seems they are prepared to shit on us just like the all the other PL teams, Leicester perhaps not so.
Cannot believe City would do this....obviously I was wrong !
