2999 because they missed me
And me,think it's cos the detector van couldn't get down my road,so there you have it,move to a cul de sac, problem solved.
I'm sure the 12,000 prosecuted in December were saying the same thing last October.

12000 lemons a month admitting it instead of saying come back with a warrant! - beggars belief. It's also difficult to believe such a large wedge of households get done every month, yet hardly anyone seems to actually know of one. I'm not doubting your stats are from what would appear to be a trustworthy source SWP, but I just think it's lies or bollocks. I have a 'mate' on about year twelve in a row of laughing at the licencing bods actually on the doorstep with the telly on in the background (and visible through the window). Just gets the same letters and visits every so often with no further action. Just ignore the letters tell the jobsworths to fuck off and that you are watching dvd's on a set incapable of recieving broadcasts and enjoy for free.
It may be worth putting a pointy tin-foil hat on in case the 'detector van' comes round - snigger!
They are just like meter readers, they come round and if they don't get anywhere they just tick the box to say they made a visit and you go back to the bottom of the pile - unless you are soft enough to either buy a licence or stand their signing bits of paper to say you are watching without.
I say if people send radio waves and other signals through the air on your property without asking you have every right to look and listen to them - enjoy.

Sack that. The letters don't stop, the calls don't stop and you have to act like a high and mighty ****. For the sake of a tenner a month. They all had a TV otherwise they would let them in for 2 minutes and that would be the end of it.

Whilst we have a right to disagree with the TV License and the principles upon which it is founded, I do find a lot of the treatment of the door knockers to be a bit over-the-top. They're just doing their job and it might be the only one they can get.

They aren't the lawmakers, they're ordinary folk like you or I trying to get by on what is probably a really shit job. No doubt there are some that are complete arse holes, but name a profession that doesn't have the odd one of them.

If you are worried about being rude to a TV licence person who probably hates his job the best thing to do is write to the BBC informing them they do not have the right to enter your property.

This means they can't enter your garden or drive if you have one.

Write directly to the Director General at Broadcasting House.

But that video shows that they still do time and time again and everytime you have to act like a twat.

This is all kicking off now, especially with non payment becoming a civil offence. Some Lord on Radio 4 just said it should be added to the Council Tax bill - fucking arsehole!
