TV Series

The ending is a bit weird.I never thought I’d get so into sports documentaries, but espn has some really great series. The “30 for 30” episodes in particular are really well done — they pull you in even if you’re not a huge fan of the sport being featured.

You watch so many shows with fbi, police in them why are they all thick as fuck? No exits never covered, they shout “police” or “FBI” while they are 20 metres away just to chase them! Oh and this talking people down when they’ve killed people instead of just shooting them!

Bet the real fbi police think it’s a pile of shite..
 
Just finished first series of Invasion (Apple TV)
Its garbage, pointless and slow. I watched it to the end of the series in case it finished with big finale which it doesn't.
I'm a sucker when it comes to a series - if it's not going well I persevere thinking surely it's got to improve and then if it doesn't It's a case of I've started may as well finish.
I will not be watching S2
Avoid!
 
Series 3 of Foundation starts this weekend can't wait.
Best series I've seen for a long while - just epic and breathtaking in scale and how it comes across on a big TV.

Season 3 is out later this year and thought it was alright

Second series didn't really move the needle that much to be fair.

Just watched a trailer and giving it a swerve might be a good idea.
 
Half way through Sandman series 2, it's alright you know, plenty of lines lifted straight from the comics.. I wonder if they'll go all the way, what with the author getting embroiled in some rape allegations or whatever, wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't do a series 3

It's not bad. Quite enjoyed it.
Definitely not another series 2 and has an "ending" of sorts. Probably because it's being Americanised for another release over there. Whether it's going to be a different take, or a continuation of the last one remains to be seen I think.

Don't get me wrong. I thought Series 2 was quite raw and jumped straight into it. Just felt like they were cramming storylines around it, especially the start and the last 2-3 episodes. (I am trying to speak in code here to refrain from spoilers obviously).

I can see it being sold off as the guy behind it has said there will be no more after this series.

It just looks much more polished and bigger scale, it doesn't drop in quality.
 
Quite liked Season 2 of Squid Game but it is a Part One and Season 3 is Part Two. I thought it was pretty good - a couple of things didn't land for example the trans characters transness didn't really get explored except to demonstrate how different she was to the other women in the game which I suspect was the opposite point to the one they were trying to make.

The first ending does resolve the show in a way that's not fully satisfying but is consistent with the shows themes. The story ultimate ends up not so much about the contestants and if there is a redemption arc its not the main guy's but I also felt the creator showed some restraint - there are still bad guys and good guys. The second ending has been spoken about by the creator not as a sequel bait but as a restating of the shows themes so he's not expecting a season 4. I suspect someone is lying to him though which ironically proves the themes of the show
