TV Series

Back To Life - (Netflix ITV) Dark comedy about a girl who returns home after 18 years in prison for killing her best friend...but obviously, not all is as it seems. Top TV and each episode is only 20 or so minutes long.

If you just want to switch off (no pun intended) and have a relaxed watch without engaging brain; Brokenwood, set in NZ and a detective sort of series but some amusing scenes in it.

I confess also that I love The Last Leg. Last night with David Tennant made me laugh out loud a few times and that doesn't happen often these days at TV programmes these days.

I enjoyed them both but felt the UK version was best. Loved Alan Cummins though, he played his part to perfection.
Its funny, I watched the first episode of the UK version last night and hated it. I don't know why but i expected it to be a little more cerebral than the US version. Instead it seemed to be the reverse with the biggest bunch of squealing muppets assembled since the last home game at OT.
Alan Cummins can show Claudia a thing or two about presenting this type of thing too. 'Five hundred thousand dallahs darling'.

Some series are like that.

Game of thrones, walking dead, breaking bad.

Yellowstone gets better and better

That’s interesting and I appreciate the insight.
From my perspective; Game of Thrones was really good for a couple of seasons, lost itself and struggled on with CGI dragons and then finally died a death towards the end of it’s last season.
Walking Dead started with a bang introducing a plot that was novel in it’s scale. However, it was the same plot in every season until everyone except the addicts had walked away yawning.
Breaking Bad? I thought solid all the way - every season great.

I gave up on Yellowstone halfway through season 2, because I felt that it was like everyone was cast in the role of absolute twats, so that I couldn’t find a character I liked, but it was polished and I may give it another blast in hope of it getting it’s hooks into me.

We’re all different eh? ;-)

Watched The Mist on Netflix, based on the Stephen King book. The film was epic, thought the greater depth of a series might make the characters grow. Instead did really find anyone engaging. Not halfway through, maybe watch an episode at a time.

Anyone said The Last of Us is fantastic.

Having played the games I can tell you the story is incredible.
I'm saving it until its finished and I can watch it all as I please, no danger of it being spoiled as like yourself I played the game so I know the story already and according to its writers its very very close to the game. By all accounts it's a masterpiece much like the game.
