TV Series

I suppose it's which eyes are watching.....

As a stand alone series, one would of been more than enough.... Stretching out the story to meet a false narrative, kind of defeats the purpose..... I blame Oliver stone (:

Like I said, enjoyed it, however, it certainly isn't as good when you know more of the history, in fact, I feel cheated!!!!

Thats exactly it, I think having some idea of the story and how he came to his end, made me think it was going to be a 1 series thing from where they were after about 8 episodes. They could have wrapped it up with a couple more episodes at a similar pace and the show would be a 9/10 or 10/10 for me.

You watched gomorrah yet?? Now that's touching the high 9s, phenomenal!!!!

Its on my list to watch, I am watching rectify at the moment, some very good acting, Aden Young, the main protagonist is excellent and its thought provoking stuff, 7.5/10 so far. Anything with Abigail Spencer (Scottie from Suits) is watchable though.

Just re-watched two of the greatest running shoot outs, in TV history, for me.

The end of the 'Down will Come' episode in series 2 of True Detective and the English speaking remake of '19-2' first ep of second series!

To be fair, I'm about to watch the original French version in a minute!!

Yeah, watching the two '19-2' school scenes, one after the other, the English version is soo much better.

The two cop protagonists work as a team during the shoot out, whilst in the French version one partner seems to the drag the other along in an almost erratic/ realist way? Not sure. The English is more graphic, better timed and added scenes to make the whole event smoother.

Saying that, it had the benefit of having the French original to work off as it didn't deviate from the original tracking lines.

I got me some goosebumps again!

Watching the Bastard Executioner which is pretty good and who popped up on it bloody Ed Sheeran!!

What strain you smoking????

The facts within the story are tweaked considerably:... Killing Pablo by Mark Bowden, gives a stunning window into the man, I just felt Narcos was rushed. To arrive at la categral then expect a second season is strange beyond belief..

A good show, well acted and visually brilliant - 7/10

Super silver haze, hence my bullshittery hehe. Yeah i was a bit "huh" about squeezing a second season in and yes at times you feel as a lot of the narrative is rushed to keep a certain pace. It is a consistent pace though to be fair and for me simply makes me want to know more.
I shall read that book mate, very very rare i get intrigued by anything now but this dude i am going to research a bit, very interesting stuff indeed.

He may have been a fucker but he had cojones al right. They way he looked at the MOJ in congress as he was going was brilliant.
If a narco drug lord looked at me like that i would shit myself haha.

For those of us with minimal knowledge on him and the medellin cartel i feel this was a great show.
It has made me want to know more about the whole shebang. Would reading that book first ruin the show for me do you reckon or ?

Just reading about El Chapo putting a 100mil bounty on Donald Trumps head hahaha.

Read the book, it's a classic in the genre...... I totally get why there is such a grey area with regards to facts, however, the political run he had was bloody insane, the show just didn't do it justice imo..... They also missed a trick with his US adventures when cocaine started flooding in to Miami. I read recently that the cartels influence in economic terms, couldn't be ignored in that state, it's whole foundation being built on drugs....

Enjoy the book dude, it's right up your street (:
