What i mean by "here" is it will not just bit bits and bats for much longer, it is becoming a staple of video broadcasting now, not a luxury.

The Wire, Breaking Bad (Better Call Saul as well), Ray Donovan, The Sopranos, Peaky Blinders, The Walking Dead (Fear the walking dead as well), Orphan Black, Mr Robot, Banshee, Suits, Game of Thrones, The Blacklist, House of Cards are all very worth a watch, depending on your taste.
Watched all the ones highlighted and can highly recommend all of them.
As our taste seem similar I will be giving the others on the list a go.

Lost is the benchmark for all series

I agree. Watching it waiting for each season must have been a nightmare.. so many cliffhangers, twists and it does ask questions (miracles, supernatural etc) that many people believe in so probes to get you thinking (as it isn't explained to you like some shows you have to actually think). It gets you thinking and the acting is wonderfully done with each character representing a certain demographics (black, asian, tomboy, disability and different cultures/countries/slang)

I haven't found a show since that has gripped me so much, not Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead.. everything after Lost is just too slow and mundane for me.

Lost was a load of rubbish, didnt start too bad but went downhill fast, I gave up on it, wouldnt recommend it to anyone, its all opinions though.

I missed Luther and Sherlock from the list, far more deserving.

Just started watching Narcos on Netflix. Watched the first 5 episodes and it's very good. It's the story of Pablo Escobar, the Colombian drug boss. I'll be sticking with it.
