TV Series

If you're halfway through and it's tedious now, you will find potholes galore ahead of you and S2 much the same.

Stick it out if you want, but you will miss nothing in S2.
Rubbish.

It's switch your brain off, first class, entertainment. If you want unfarfetched, factual, content then try panorama.

Ozark is great.

You have to acknowledge from the beginning.

You can't 'switch off' halfway through a series if it tedious.

It simply doesn't ever get any better and won't improve in S2.

Lol,we could be here all day.....Its anything but tedious.....its engrossing, clever, well acted, and thoroughly enjoyable TV.

Series 2 is superb,i imagine series 3 will be much the same as its a brilliant formula.

I find it tedious, but it wasn't me that claimed it so in the original response.

Just replying and agreeing!

So!!

'Titans' Eps 1-4.

There's a lot that goes on these first four episodes, so much so that it forgoes the standard introduction of getting to know characters. It kind of surprises you in that aspect, but the show runner must think we don't want to or need to know about any of he individuals, let's just crack on.

Novel!!

If you know your DC universe, you will know that this show has 'Dick Grayson' in the vigilante costume of 'Robin' who then goes on to be 'Nightwing', forever separating his ties with the 'Batman'. In this show, you can see the tone of action/ violence set with the first interaction with 'Robin' and it is highly graphic.

'Raven' is a better character than I thought she'd be, but I'm hoping her demonic appearances get better.

'Beast Boy' is a much of a 'meh' in this, but the real stand out is 'Star Fire'. Once you get over the comic book comparisons and see her as new, she's surprisingly good!

The tone of the show is dark, the action a step down from 'Daredevil' in many ways, but the conversation engagement more adult.

It does stick its fingers in many pies, so it gets bogged down in finding an identity.

Maybe it will define itself by the end of the run, with a more recognisable focus.

Interesting, but confusing.

So......is it any good?

So......is it any good?

I will say it's subjective.

Not all performances are great. It's a little disorienting being dumped in the middle of a story line.

It's a bit like watching a series on fast forward; things crop up in timeline you wouldn't expect at the point it does and there are no explanations as to why things are happening(but you fill in the gaps if you're a comic fan).

With that said, if you 'switch off your brain' it's quite watchable!!

Award worthy 'superb'??

That's the way you guys seem to hype it up.

Zilch in the award category as far as I'm aware...

I don't fall for the best actor stuff I just say what I like and I liked it. That awful film the piano walked away with awards one year, hollywood and the arts don't always choose what the people really watch.
