TV Series

Watched 2 episodes of Monarch: Legacy of monsters last night absolutely loved it 10/10 for me it is my cup of tea love genre like this and how it is written produced..
I’ve enjoyed it too, made me laugh that I thought they’d cast the two ‘Lee Shaws’ very well and that they were very convincing lookalikes, then realising it was actually Father and Son :-D.

Just finally finished the first series of True Detective.

Hopefully the other series will be just as good (and weird)

I have been watching about 11 seasons of Criminal Minds but need a break ha
Love Criminal Minds, always been such an easy watch and can just drop in and out of it.

I've just started 1899 as its been compared to Dark, so hoping its gonna be good.

Boy Swallows Universe on Netflix. Aussie drama, black comedy. 3 episodes in very good.Nice 80s soundtrack too.

Don't expect the same levels of intensity or weirdness from S2 and you'll probably enjoy it more. A lot of the harsh reviews were based on people wanting the same from the next series. I don't thik they expected such a response to the first and they rushed the sequel. Vince Vaughn also polarises opinions so that probably didn't help either. S3 was much better than 2 though so there is that still to look forward to.

I've watched the first episode of two and liking VV character in it. I know what you mean though see him more in comedy roles.

Season 1 was crazy for the amount of actors playing smaller roles who are massive in other tv shows.

Disappointing end to Fargo season 5. Was not up to the standard of previous 9 episodes. :-(
Agree.

But it's not so bad upon reflection. Spoiler follows to discuss further.
I too was disappointed in the end episode. For whatever reason the director decided to experiment at the beginning of the episode with silent scenes followed by non-silent ones. Why?

The table was set for an exciting shootout between law officers and the "sovereign citizens"... yet what we saw was a tame affair with weird effects like the silent-not-silent transitions.

But the prison scene was great.

And I liked the bisquick scene too.

So... not nearly as good as the other episodes... and yet the bisquick and prison scenes nicely wrap up the story leaving no loose ends.

Fargo was the best series I've recently (8 months or so) watched, by far, in spite of the final episode.
