This show would be great if it were in a different format.

Some of the episodes have been under 20 minutes long after the recap and intro.

Every time I start getting into it…it’s over.

The characters are good, the concept works, Skarsgard is obviously a good leading actor, I find it funny, but it’s 5 proper episodes cut and stretched into 10.

Probably not a problem if you’re binge watching but I’ve found it painful watching weekly.

The books it’s adapted from are all tiny (160 pages) but…merge 2 together like Slow Horses or something and put out a full seasons worth of something.
 
Have watched Furio Series 1 and half way through Series 2. Its a Norwegian series based on their equivalent of MI5 counteracting the threats from Russia/the far right and various others that seek to undermine western democracy. It sounds a bit dry but its pretty pacy, set against the current political landscape of Putin/Trump/Victor Orban/Shady right wing networks/EU politics/social media manipulation. Its not perfect but the pace of the story telling and the committed performances keep it bowling along nicely plus plenty of lovely filming of Norway/Berlin/Budapest. Certainly worth a watch. Subtitled but some of the dialogue is in English. Series 1 was on Amazon, Series 2 on BBC Iplayer.
 
2 episodes into squid game season 3. I thought season 2 was god awful but in comparison to season 3 so far, its looking like a masterwork.

What a dramatic decline, this was Netflix biggest show and yet season 3 has been out for about a week and I've barely seen any mention of it anywhere. I've got to stick it out until the end now that I'm this far in but it's just been relegated to background watching unless it see's a drastic upturn in the next episode or two.
 
Finished" Last of Us " Has mixed reviews on here but I've enjoyed it. Waiting for game price to go down so i can play it.
Half way through season 1 of Tulsa King ,Good, maybe a bit corny at times.
 
Finished latest Race Across The World which I love and also just finished something that surprised me. The Pilgrimage. I only started watching it as first season had episodes around Giant's Causeway which is near where I grew up. Some amazing scenery throughout all of the seasons

Entertaining.

As has been said on here before the Irish accents are not so convincing, especially when you have a leading Irishman in the cast Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, but still entertaining and gripping. Though I did think This is our city was better.

I'm a big fan of Tom Hardy though, better cast in mobland. Both entertaining imo
