TV Series

We have just watched first two episodes of Wednesday (Series 2). Thought it was suffering from second season syndrome at first :D but actually laying quite a few plotlines. When child actors grow older it tends to lose a bit of natural behaviour. Jenna Ortega seems to have lost a bit of her authenticity whilst Catherine Zeta Jones is owning it a bit so far.
Oh dear, just watched episode 1 (Series 2) and it feels like just a vehicle for one liners from Jenna Ortega with the odd chance for someone else. Tell me it gets better as I loved series 1?

I didn't even get that far. Watched half of the first episode in season 2 and turned it off. Couldn't be arsed with it and not sure how I managed to watch all the first season, I just find it incredibly boring.

Been watching the residence on Netflix. Something about the trailer and the screencaps used really put me off giving it a shot but enjoyed it. The birding thing got really annoying and was way overused but other than that an enjoyable, easy watch whodunnit.

Started watching Invasion. Gets a lowish score on IMDB but I'm quite enjoying it, halfway through season one. A very slow burn.

It's not. It's written like it's been dumbed down.

That or my brain has gotten used to what's going on?!!
I understand the plot, I don't find it particularly hard to follow, but they've deviated away from the source material too much for my liking.

Finished Dexter: Resurrection and honestly really enjoyed it. I was a big fan back when it first came out (season 4 is some absolutely top class telly).

Obviously it fell off a cliff after that, but this was decent enough for me to enjoy Dex again.

The Gathering on Netflix,Good gritty drama set on the Wirral/Merseyside. Originally shown on C4 Shame no season 2

I didn't know about the source material before seeing the show. So, with that, my senses were battered in the first two series (delightfully so, to be fair) as I battled with where I was in the timeline and still (in a way) don't get the existence of 'Empire' as is told or shown.

I think I would have to read the books at some point.

Finished season 2 of Downton Abbey. Why didn't I watch this before its great.
I started the first episode and didn’t like it too much, but I should give it a second try. Great list of shows being tossed around here. I just rewatched some old favorites and realized how much I still enjoy the classics. Every now and then I’ll even catch myself going back to the disney channel stuff I grew up with — cheesy, but nostalgic.

Finished watching Twin Peaks the first 2 series again. I've never watched the 3rd series. Can't seem to find a free stream for it.
The third series is very good. Might be worth watching on DVD as there are lots of extras on the UK release.

A tip: it’s a good idea to watch Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me beforehand if you haven’t already seen it.

I'm with you on the timeline Bigga. When there's a time-jump I cant tell which Cleon we're up to, did we jump a generation or several. They all look the bloody same lol.

I think I'll start the books once I finish the Dark Tower series I'm on at the moment.
