It goes get a bit better tying in with the new Superman filmAnd it gets better and better.
Halfway through season 2 of Peacemaker and it's been pretty shit up to now. Don't think it's anything like as good as the first season
You need to read the books. The series is a waste of time compared to themDon't want to keep going back to a series that's now old, but just to emphasise, for anyone who's only watched it once and enjoyed it, that The Expanse really does need watching (at least) twice. The complexities of the (several) story lines sort themselves out in your head on second watching, and you can really start to appreciate it.
I'll be so angry if they kill eaglyIt goes get a bit better tying in with the new Superman film

Christ, that must be really bad then, I only got part way through S01E01 and binned it off. I hated him in Suicide Squad and he's even worse in my eyes in that Peacemaker crap. And it gets better and better.

The Expanse TV series is excellent viewing but if you love it then the books are a must. For other Sci-Fi books series you can't go wrong with the marvellous and much lamented Iain M Banks Culture series or the original Dune series by Frank Herbert (not his sons prequels which are terrible).Ok, I'll look into them. To be honest, I read very little science fiction. I find it not very well written, by and large. (I make a big exception for J.G. Ballard, although I'm not even sure if Ballard could properly be called a science fiction writer — but he's a hell of a writer, that I'm sure of).
But I will try one or two. By the way, I stand by my judgement. The series is very good, as series go.

Others I'd look at would be the Revelation Space series by Alastair Reynolds or the Altered Carbon (Takeshi Kovacs) series by Richard K. Morgan (damn shame they abandoned the TV series).
I should have phrased that better, apologies.Ok, I'll look into them. To be honest, I read very little science fiction. I find it not very well written, by and large. (I make a big exception for J.G. The first 3/4 episodes were a bit of a slog but it's picked up. Looks like it's going to tie in with the new superman Man Of Tomorrow movie
Were on season 7 and enjoyed them allStarted Dexter S1, can't believe I missed it when it came out.
Just binged it all over the last month or so was excellent. Certainly up there with the best.Just finished the American's for the second time , great television season 6 was brilliant.
I don't have all those fancy channels or any paid for streaming services on my TV, only got freeview crap, so I'm out of the loop on many shows, past and present. I use this thread and the film thread to to see what I've missed, but it's on my ever increasing watch list now, mainly due to your (and others) recommendation. The only thing stopping me at present is the number of series and my desire to watch things in their entirety in one sitting. I might give season 1 a go today.Don't want to keep going back to a series that's now old, but just to emphasise, for anyone who's only watched it once and enjoyed it, that The Expanse really does need watching (at least) twice.
