I also thoroughly enjoyed it but didn't think the final episode had quite the tension and sense of anticipation that the civilian version has. I think they were basically all happy to just reach the final and weren't really that arsed who actually won. There's no way that the End Game would have played out the way it did if they were desperate to win like the public are.

Great entertainment nonetheless though.

Never watched it before and barring a few moments that made me want to switch it off in frustration, i really enjoyed it. I do think cause it was for charity and the money wasn't for personal gain, it made it really laid back and good to watch. Not sure i'd be able to stomach it with non celebs and that snideyness i imagine it would be.

I was so pissed off when they voted Joe off. He had it spot on and can't believe those two turned on him last minute. Made for great drama though.

That bit in your spoiler was a WTF moment in our house, it actually made the whole series for me, I agree it’s much more enjoyable than the normal one as that shows the horrible side of people wanting cash and they’ll do anything for it, this was more lighthearted.
 
If you enjoy Gritty British drama’s try Mudtown on alibi.
Set in Newport, it’s a crime drama but the emphasis is not on the Police.
Talking of Police Imho I thought Blue Lights S3 took an age to get going and they’ve effectively relegated Martin McCann to the subs bench.

I'm sure you're right about the way the endgame played out but that's why I liked it. The fact that there was no 'real life' scumbag behaviour made it an enjoyable watch and felt a bit less reality TV for me; I suspect I'll stick to the celebrity version assuming they can pick some good ones, though it seems the viewing figures were such that they should find that fairly easy at least for a couple of series.

The viewing figures would be interesting.

It's the first time I can remember a TV programme that it seemed like 'Everyone' was watching since the early days of 'Who wants to be a Millionaire?'

I must have overheard at least a dozen conversations about it over the last few weeks, while at bus stops, train stations, pubs etc.

Numbers reported say between 11-13 million watched it live last night which is a huge number these days and will go up I guess with catch-up. Seemingly the most a final of the 'normal' version has had was 7 million.

Audiences are massive pal, apart from Strictly it’s the biggest show on TV this year.
 
Started to watch Slow Horses on Netflix. Not bad. I always enjoy threads like this because I end up finding shows I never would’ve discovered otherwise. While browsing earlier, I ran across the Viasat customer service number trying to help a friend fix their streaming issues, and it reminded me how many services we juggle just to watch TV. Anyway, keep the suggestions coming. Something new always pops up.

As much as I enjoyed the programme I'm baffled as to what TV Execs take from the show. If you believe the media Claudia and Alan are now the hottest properties in TV. From my perspective it was the concept rather than these 2 individuals who made the programme. As for AC being the host for Strictly the wife thinks they have lost the plot.

I am on series 5 on Netflix but won't be watching anymore. Been going rapidly downhill.
 
A final word on The Traitors from me.

I think the real stars of the show are the editors or producers, or whoever the fuck it is that takes hours of film and actually puts it together in one hour segments.

The detail that obviously goes into it to create the drama and the tension, is just immense. The choice of music is a big part of that asell. But the way the whole thing is put together is just brilliant.
 
Been watching "the capture" on Netflix, think it was originally a bbc show, 2 seasons of a spy thriller centered around fictional deep fake tech that is probably bordering on reality now. Really good stuff. Apparently a third season began shooting earlier this year so that shouldn't be too far away.

Had me and the daughter completely gripped at the end there. Apart from last season all of them have been great
