Finished Brassic this morning.
Don't like being a sheep but have to agree with every other review I've seen and say that the final series was a bit of a let down. Maybe not quite as bad as some were saying but definitely ran out of ideas. The fact it was only six episodes and half of the main characters couldn't be arsed making themselves available to film the final episode, probably suggests that the cast were getting as bored as the viewers.
Having said that, judging it over the full 50 episode run as a whole, it was great fun.
Yeah, it was a great character he played in Brassic. His and Steve Evets' character played off each other brilliantly.Best thing about that was getting to see Kenny Senior on TV again. Don't know what it is about him but everything he says just has me in stitches.
Just finished it too. Very good. Macfayden is really showcasing his talent. A very good actor and like you say, he wasnt alone in this production.Just finished Netflix ‘Death by Lightening’. Probably the second best thing I’ve seen all year (after the mirror and the light -wolf hall). Wonderful performances from the cast and very tight writing. A fascinating drama about the assassination of an American President, James Garfield. 10/10.
Deserves a big role in something. Always plays bit parts. Archie Kelly does a lot of stand-up locallyBest thing about that was getting to see Kenny Senior on TV again. Don't know what it is about him but everything he says just has me in stitches.
His performance was incredible. Even better than in Succession. As was Michael Shannon, Betty Gilpin and the rest.Just finished it too. Very good. Macfayden is really showcasing his talent. A very good actor and like you say, he wasnt alone in this production.
I just started watching this and agree, it's very good. Two episodes left.![]()
Adapted from David McCullough's Pulitzer Prize-winning biography, this lavish seven-part miniseries chronicles the life of Founding Father John Adams, starting with the Boston Massacre of 1770 through his years as an ambassador in Europe, then his terms as vice president and president of the United States, up to his death on July 4, 1826
Superb series.
Bet Gérard Butler saves him at the end on air force one.I just started watching this and agree, it's very good. Two episodes left.
Im sure its for kids ?Stranger Things. Started watching it with the missus at the start. It's shit innit though.
I was only 36 when I started watching itIm sure its for kids ?
It’s massive enough to have a massive Christmas tree in the middle of Piccadilly station, plugging the final series. Is stranger things still massive? I was watching it out of habit until last season where I fell off it big time, never even bothered getting through it and I almost always see things through even if it ends up being background noise.
Netflix seem to have gone big on the stranger things final season being the main Christmas offering for them this year but is it really that big anymore to warrant that billing?
Seems like it got really shit and took far, far too long for it to still be this cultural behemoth it once was. I get a squid game vibe from it with how that was once the biggest thing on the planet and by the end hardly seemed to get a mention.
