Morrissey plays the same part in everything he's in. He plays a self-obsessed, miserable bastard devoid of any humanity or self-awarenessI thought it was like pulling teeth, gave up after three episodes, boring as it gets.

I agree, when you rewatch some of the shooting stars stuff it is so cringey but he seems to have absolutely mastered the art of deadpan comedy over time. He can be very deep and thought provoking but at the same time you have no idea at what point he blurs the lines and goes into a joke.Pretty much everything he does these days is gold, his fishing show, podcast, books, and this show.

Rafe Spall is one of my favourite actors. He's superb.I've just finished under salt marsh.
Very good. Spall excellent, and him and reilly have real screen presence together.
The cast in general are brilliant, no bad actors amongst them.
Portrays the tight knit community really well, drip feeds info bit by bit in the first couple of eps. Everyone seems a bit weird, making them all potential suspects.
Decent ending too.
Covers a difficult subject really well.
Well worth a watch.

I liked Romeshs insult joker as well, very good. This show gets better and better.

I found it slightly less funny than cancer. I like a lot of the comedians and the occasional thing raised a titter but so much of it was beyond infantile like the ginger bird farting during her poem.My mrs loves this programme.
Some great comedians involved but my take on it having seen a couple of episodes is they're all just phoning it in for a load of cash.
Which I guess is true of all these comedian game shows.
