Derek the coach driver involved in contract talks?? No wonder we forked out £1.45m for Steve Daley, he probably negotiated that too. When he was driving the Finglands supporters coaches I often thought he was rat-arsed, bit of a headcase tbh.
Who remembers going to that school just around the corner from Maine Road and watching Willie Donachie warming the players up in the gym through the windows. We were in the premier league then, incredible looking back.

A comedy club maybe but those two anecdotes sum up city in the eighties....just brilliant in my book, a million miles from today though.
Although a certain neighbouring club have copied the idea of having a bus driver on the bench...
