TBH i think it is exactily the opposite. cant really see any reason for say sparta prague is a better team than aris , none.
Maybe you should check their recent european history then.

They play in a harder league than Aris, and regularly qualify for the CL, unlike Aris.

On top of that we have a much better squad currently than Liverpool.

Its quite easy to work out why their result is better than ours.

I didn't check our number of games, it wasn't relevant to my point, in fact I'd have expected it to be less than aris, especially since we've spent a lot of the last 40 years outside the top division.

9 seasons out of the top flight since returning in 1966 under Joe and Mal.

European home record (a quick calculation so may be one or two out): P31 W22 D7 L2

how can you say this ??

The Greek league has a long tradition of being a corrupted ref-driven 'spectacle'
that everything about it has always been in favour of the two major athenian
clubs, Olympiakos & Panathinaikos. Local press and politicians have been adding a
huge bit to this for decades. I would need ages and plenty of pages to explain you
guys what's going on here with detail. But at the same time, it's simple as I just
described it above.

Now if only these two teams have the chance to compete in a CL qualifying round,
it is of course impossible for other clubs to shine on in Europe.

Sparta Prague has been dominant in the Czech Republic for ages, fairly or not.
So they've had a lot of chances to compete at top european level. It is reasonable
that some of those times they would go well enough and create surprises in group
stage of CL or whatever.

Therefore i think you're comparing irrelevant cases.

On the subject of Skys coverage, I find there is a negative slant but I think you have to accept it as they employ a lot of ex players who have their own opinions and loyalties we are a threat to their favored team. I really felt Jamie Rednapp's comment to Mike Summerbee about the money we had spent was not something he had intended to say but the truth of how he really feels about City.We are all prone to bias I know Andy Gray is not popular at the moment but I always remember how he supported Nige after the Ben Arfa tackle when all the rest of the media was baying for blood and liked him more for it, my favourite pundit is Lee Dixon ( can't think why!!) and if he says we were bad I can accept it, It's probably the same for Liverpool fans with Hanson etc. At the end of the day I learn more on here than from any pundit on TV, I have lost track of the number of times that they have given their opinion on something City related and from being on here know it's a load of crap, lets be honest how many of them still think we have signed David Villa. I think the time has come to let it go when we are winning they will need us more than we need them. City fans are passionate about the club and find out the true facts. I am more than happy to laugh at there ignorance and cliche's and then come on here and learn about the real goings on at City.

I don't remember it word for word but it went along the lines of Mike Summerbee mentioned about how well we had played in certain area's and Jamie Rednapp quickly retorted that for the money we had spent we should. It just seemed to me that it was getting a little bit heated and it came out of his mouth too easily.
