Two teens die in motorbike crash in Cardiff resulting in riots

He always wanted one so they got him one for an early birthday present. The other lad had been round his for tea, told his Dad he was going to give him a lift home. Dad, being Welsh, obviously said fuck all, 2 up on a bike that's illegal to use, and off they trot. Police van sees them, notices they are going quite quickly, pulls away from persuit. Probably because the 2 basin haircutted fine upstanding members of the community were well known. No need to chase as they could give it 20 and pop round to confiscate the bike later. Boys smash into something. Bus? Community, roused by social media, the rozzers just killed my son, were out in force to do a peaceful protest/ set fire to as much shit as possible and thrown some rocks.

Only from watching traffic cops (happy to be corrected by anyone in the know) but I'm sure it's routine procedure for cops to cease the pursuit when there is a risk of the riders falling off and serious injury not because of the identity of riders.

If the lads hadn't fallen off I suppose it's likely they would have been pursued by helicopter until a safer snatch and grab was available.

Just asking, but what did you mean by Dad being Welsh, obviously said fuck all.
 
If someone sets fire to your car, like some of these idiotic vandals did that night, is it covered by your insurance ?
I'm guessing it is but these companies have that dreaded small print.

Perfect summary. What is the more disturbing thing and a reflection of Society is the 1000 people who turned up at the vigil to show their “respect”.
