Players playing for teams like Wolves/Rennes/Girona, sure. They will likely take the chance to join the perhaps best team in the world despite charges hanging over us. But elite players thats not desperate to leave their current club and/or thats wanted by all the big clubs and can more or less pick and choose.. Why wouldn't they be hesitant to join City while we have these charges hanging over us? Because our guys in charge tells them to not worry about it?
For a player like Bellingham, when he has a decision to make between joining us or Real Madrid, us having the threat of possibly being relegated will of course be something thats taken into consideration and that can tip the scale in the Real Madrids favour. I'm not saying he would have definitely joined us without these charges hanging over us but I think it's naive to assume it has no impact on anyones decision. Of course it does.

Honestly I think Bellingham is completely shite anyway and if Real Madrid had signed Nunes and played him in a free role upfront for half the season he'd have done similar. We dodged a bullet on him and Rice. Thought they were both FIFA career mode signings anyway that made no sense.

My point was more that if a player has the choice between playing for us or Wolves, it probably has little to no impact. But if a player has the choice between joining us or Real Madrid I think its naive to assume players wont take these charges and potential punishment hanging over us into consideration when deciding which club to sign a 5 year deal with.

And we can have different opinions regarding who is better of Nunes or Bellingham, but in general (not always) I would prefer us to sign players thats also wanted by clubs like Real Madrid/Liverpool/other top clubs, rather than players whose option is clubs like Wolves.

I don't think players care about the charges at all. They care about being paid. So long as they get a release clause in their contract I can't see why it would put any modern footballer off. Worst case scenario they get another signing on fee when they move somewhere else.

Liverpool were actually linked with Nunes quite a lot. He'd have probably suited a Klopp team a hell of a lot more tbh.

I’m sorry but elite players will look at City and think the manager is likely to be gone in the Summer, the Director of football is defo going, and their opinion of 115 will be formed by most in the media reporting we are certain for relegation from 115.

Txixi's job is done. Virtually all players contracts are secured until 2025/26. The thing that needs sorted out asap is Peps future. I'm probably in the minority, but I think Pep owes the club and the fans that commitment. An extension will give him the security and stop people asking the question on whats next. Reassuring the fans is also important.

DoF is already replaced it's likely that if Pep was to leave the club would announce his successor ( there is no guarantee that the merger in place when he signs will be there long term anyhow at most clubs ) The agents will have a better briefing than the biased cartel media about 115 Players will look at City and see a well organized well run club / business Their decisions will be based upon the league the club is in the location and the likely chance of winning trophies and of course the contract
