Txiki Begiristain to leave role at end of season

Yeh I agree with what your saying, I said in a previous post that an outside factor had to of effected things. The man I want is Wirtz and it was obvious he wasn’t moving so delaying the rebuild a year for everything to fall in to place made sense just for him alone. But not spending 20M on a striker from somewhere is puzzling, Haaland is now going to have to play against Feyenoord, at anfield, Juve, PSG, Palace etc and we just have to pray he doesn’t get injured, if he does we are fucked. We barely have midfielders to cover midfield never mind putting one in false nine and we’re flanked by wingers who are averaging 1 goal in about 15 games between the 3 of them, I’m sure that will improve, it has too but they are still miles away from being prolific. I said before I’d be amazed to get top 5 if Haaland gets a lengthy injury, it’s a big if, but if that’s the case you can say bye to Wirtz and Rodrygo.
We’d be lucky to get top half if Haaland is injured

It’s the poor decisions and lack of activity that has caused it, the warning signs were so clear last season. Losing wingers with 60/70 GA and replacing them with ones who have only managed to score once between them, it’s December next week. I genuinely worry what happens if Haaland gets injured, I’d be amazed if we get top 4 if it was a lengthy one. The midfield is poor, I get bad form at the minute is making it look worse but even so it’s clearly not good enough. We didn’t win a single game Rodri missed last season, we didn’t act. We know De Bruyne is getting more injury prone and we didn’t act and thought we will just rely on them again. Gundogan was signed a week from the window closing so if he was unavailable we would have just ended up with Savinho, it’s not entitled to ask why? Were the second most profitable club in player trading in the world, and the most successful English side in the last 10 years how are we being outspent by Ipswich.
Agreed, when you are on top you have to keep improving, our spending is on Leicester/Ipswich levels recently...bizarre

We are paying the price for our board being more concerned about being net spend winners than getting in top talent. Thats the truth of it. They can’t seem to grasp that we could have a team full of academy players yet pundits and fans would still say we are the big spenders.

Our board have been prudent given the potential shitshow that could descend on the club. I am frustrated with many of the transfer decisions but there are mitigating factors

I think this is half the problem. Its as though they want to unearth cheap finds and show how great they are at turning them into worldies. Doesnt always work

Although, nunes was hardly a cheap find

very angry at him right now. the price of being comfortable is being paid now. remember the lie we use we never wannt to keep unhappy player wanting to leave like Jesus, Alvarez, Palmer. but we pray for Ederson, Walker to stay when they are eyeing Saudis megaoffers.

If he hadn't decided to leave on his own accord, I think the club would be sacking him right now.

At least 50% of the reason we are where we are now as a squad and overall development of the team since the treble is because of him.
