They're reasonable for the money spent but both KDB and Sterling still have a lot to prove. Sterling needs to prove he can consistently deliver quality end product and KdB needs to prove he can play well away from the Etihad.

Never built on the title winning sides. Player acquisition has been shocking. I think Pep will get it right but if he doesn't this man should be the first out of the door. His purchases at Barca particularly defensively were also in the main poor.

The Academy certainly hasn't,as the next 12 months will prove.

With Sane, Jesus, Sterling, De Bruyne, Iheanacho, Zinchenko, Roberts, Unal, Sancho and Diaz our attack should be sorted for the next few years at least, but yeah we still need strengthening in pretty much every other area. Hopefully we'll be seeing a huge clear out this summer - Navas, Kolarov, Clichy, Yaya, Fernando, Zabaleta, Sagna, Caballero, Mangala, Nasri, Bony and unfortunately Silva and Kompany need to be moved on.

Ha, you're right, but I'm trying to get to the bottom of why we keep going backwards. Yeah, they did, and Balotelli is maybe a bad example, but even when Dzeko was bad you knew if he got a proper run he'd get 20 in the season

Agree with most of that but still think silva can do a job for us. I believe the future will be close to something like this:

I don't think we are going backwards. We finished 4th last season so let's be a bit patient and see where we end up this season. I think people expected Pep to be a magician after our terrific strt and unfortunteky it's going to take a bit longer to rectify the issues we have in this team.
