Let's say we want Mangala to pick an example (and of course thrre are examples of good signings). What does Soriano or the finance guy know about football? All they can say is whether we've got the cash. It might be a committee but the biggest voice has to be the DoF. The manager might say I want a new CB so out of all the available CB Txiki comes up with Mangala for £30-40 million. So don't hide behind a committee - it's him. Especially in last 2 years as Pellers was a dead man walking.I imagine it will be the four named people plus input from Director of Finances.
You sound very much like Cookster mate.I have no idea as to who does what on this Committee. Its not new,its not revolutionary, its been used at lots of other Clubs all over Europe.I`m as much in the know as the next person but it exists, as Khaldoon spoke about it one year in his overview on the OS.Let's say we want Mangala to pick an example (and of course thrre are examples of good signings). We've ended up with a team in need of a drastic rebuild wasting last and this season, It seems clear to me Txiki has way more bad than good on his track record here. If you want to argue poor transfer record offset with making sure we get Pep then I think that is a far better line not hiding behind a committee. You telling me the Finance Director has an equal say to Txiki as to whether Gabriel Jesus is worth buying? Although having said that if he does it might explain getting Navas, Mangala, Fernando and the rest!!!
