Txiki & Pep met in Amsterdam yesterday

I think we have to trust Pep in terms of who he wants in which positions. I'm sure that there's a plan for the full back areas. Might just be that we bring in one full back and let one go. My guess would be that Kolarov goes and a LB comes in (unless Pep's got plans for Delph in that position which isn't unthinkable). On the right hand side much depends on how much they rate Maffeo.

Not surprised that the stories are beginning to seep out about who we want. I realise that you're not enthused by the idea of the Ox, but again, it's a case of trusting Pep and Txiki. There's a value in having a core of English players in your side which can't really be quantified. The question is always are they good enough, but that's where the manager comes in. I'm sure he isn't going to be picking players who he doesn't think have the qualities he requires, and equally if he's picking young player he isn't going to be picking ones unless he thinks he can improve them.

Gundogan, Stones, and the Ox would be a quite a start to the summer. Interestingly enough both the Ox and Gundogan have contractual issues which mean that their transfer fees won't be ridiculously inflated.

What do you mean by contractual issues Billy?

Who gives a fuck what any of us think certainly not Pep or anyone at the club as its not our reputation on the line

Trust Pep to manage our team and thankfull we have the money to spend

I'll be going with Guardiola's opinion over yours about whether a player is "any good". I think you understand why. ;)

I expect you've also always gone with Mancini's and Pellegrinis opinion over the past few years as well and of course they've always been proven right as well.

Any player that Pep or any other manager signs will always get my backing but lets not kid ourselves into thinking that even the very best don't get things wrong.

Sure managers often get things wrong even Pep. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt this summer. I prefer to let players get a chance once they've signed before writing them off as being wank or overrated or too expensive.

Given City's status and English competitor's reluctance to sell top players to them they'll probably always be too expensive.
Kane could be a massive player for City and the main English striker for the next 10 years. But I'm not sure Pep's too fond of his type of player, Aguero would probably suit his type of game play better.

Fair points mate, I'm not too sure he's that good, if it was me, I'd have bids going straight in on Harry Kane and Delle Ali for an English core.

The Gundogan story is fascinating though, he's a midfielder who can win a battle on his own. I'll never forget the night he ran the show at the Etihad.

Trying to prise either from Levy? We'd be selling Sergio and the CFA to pay for it.

Pep spoilt my Amsterdam experiance, I was with a lady of the night,"who was on pay before you play" wooding up before the action, I looked through the window, only to see a vista of Tixi & Pep, together, I climaxed, end of story.

Agree with this entirely. For me the biggest concern is the fullbacks, it's one of the most important positions in a Pep system and if we don't address this I'm worried we'll continually see the same failings.

Denayer RB
New LB

sorted

CM needs the biggest overhaul

That is brilliant mate, onward and upward, but perhaps not in your case lmao

Amsterdam eh? So when the transfer window closes and we unveil Alan Hutton, Bebe and Shaun Goater as our summer additions... "Fucking hell, was Txiki stoned when he came up with that list?" Yes. Yes he was!

Sheikh Mansour doesn't have to worry. Nothing is too expensive. It is the price of investment.
Us mere vagabonds worry about the price of everything.
