Tyson Fury v Francis Ngannou farce - Result confirmed it!

I have watched it twice now.
Francis took the first 4 rounds one of them 10-8. Fury rounds 5 and 6, Francis 7, round 8 fury, 9 level and fury maybe 10.
96-94 to Francis and that's been more than fair to fury. In a close fight the knockdown is huge.
Ok boss. You’ve given Ngannu the first. Fury landed 11 (44%) to his 6 (26%).

You’ve also said 9th was level where he only landed 2 shots to Fury’s 8.

That swing gives it Fury on your card. I can totally see the argument for Ngannu winning but how they score it I thought Fury just did enough. It certainly wasn’t the robbery people are suggesting but agree it falls into contentious decision of which a split verdict will always be.

The Fury family are turning it into a circus but sadly folk are paying for it

Promotors are just as guilty and more fool those that line their pockets for this shit.

You want fake fights, go watch the wrestling, far more entertaining.

Watched it again this morning, and I think it was a lot closer than I thought last night. I think I must have been that shocked by the two fighters performances and got caught up in the hysteria that I thought it was a lot wider than it actually was.

On second watch I gave it 95-94 Fury, but there could be a case to go same score to NGannou.

What isn't in question though is how unbelievable poor the fight was, and how unbelievably terrible Fury was. Something wasn't right.

The only winners last night were the pairs bank balances.

I never understand how people see fights. I know that many see 'boxing' and expect to see a boxing match. I get that.

But, what some people fail to take into account is if you're not disciplined in style as a total form, then a fight will look shoddy.

Ngannou started out in boxing (check his own story on his life) before switching to MMA where his discipline is boxing, kickboxing, jiu jitsu and grappling. How does anyone expect the fight to be pure in form, I don't know!

The transition was never going to be smooth (it's no different to when City come to play football and someone other team refuse to play; the resulting game isn't great cos they're at different levels), but what Ngannou showed surprised Fury.

If you watch the beginning Fury tries to end the fight quick and nearly caught Francis Ngannou, but he weathered through and gave Fury a fight.

With the deficiencies of discipline in mind and a relatively short training camp after surgery (he had 3 months to train for a pure discipline), I thought he did superb, myself.

But that's just me, taking everything into account.

I have to be honest that I had Fury the winner. It was a dire performance though, the worst I have ever seen from him.

What an absolute shit show.

I will be honest and say i haven't watched or followed boxing since it went "pay per view" with SKY.
It's a shame i as used to love nothing more than getting into work after a big fight and talk about it for hours.
It was free so everybody had watched it.

I've seen the news about Youtubers and MMA getting involved. I shake my head, but if the people are paying for it, who am i to judge?

I somehow ended up watching the fight last night. I've heard of Fury, but not the other guy. Didn't even know a fight was on. I came across it whilst searching for some midget porn.
I would be more embarrassed to admit watching that fight than midget porn!

Anybody defending that, or boxing, needs a hard look at themselves. You are either young or stupid. (or both!)
That isn't boxing in any way shape or form.

Joke fight, even bigger joke result...
I miss the days of the Dark Destroyer v Eubanks. Some amazing fights and emotion then.
