Tyson Fury v Francis Ngannou farce - Result confirmed it!

I’m not particularly clued up on boxing but I do find it odd how you can be an incumbent champion despite not fighting a top 10 heavyweight in over 12 months. Seems rather flawed.

Now the sport is collectively ridiculed everywhere because an MMA fighter did a number on its potential best. At least everyone got well paid despite bringing the sport into disrepute.

It's all in the interpretation I suppose. The judges don't have the luxury of watching a replay which makes the decision all the more baffling. Now if it was a championship fight the verdict would be less controversial as it's generally accepted the challenger needs to take the crown off the holder convincingly.
To be honest the fact that Fury is champion at at all is a damning indictment of just how the division has become.

I think the amount of jabs Tyson Fury threw won him the fight, Also Francis-Ngannou lack of Boxing skills went against him

Tigers own lions also

Here are people who have put a lot of thought into it, some would say waaaaay too much thought :)

Heavyweight Boxing is a joke, has been for a long time and Fury is the biggest joke going.

I actually feel sorry for all the people that fall for his crap and pay to watch him fight. Then complain when the fights are crap and the result is rigged.

And yet next fight, they can charge what they want, millions will pay for it, those that are ‘not interested’ will be watching on streams and commenting on forums.
Yes but the ones on streams aren’t funding these ridiculous charades and after the rugby they probably needed some comedic relief and certainly got it

That's the one. Boxing died for me that day.
How could anyone take boxing as a fair and serious sport after watching that is beyond me.

It was one of the biggest injustices I've ever seen in boxing. That Scots lad was an utter disgrace saying he believed he'd done enough to win. If I was him I couldn't have accepted that decision and I'd have got the mic and told the crowd and judges just that.
