Here's the video feature from a week back, it had its own thread:

New update, seems like he's going out on loan.

Yesterday it was reported that Swedish clubs were interested in him, but that the £400k+ price scared them away. The agent confirmed Guidetti was interested in a loan though.

Then today Djurgarden's chairman, Stefan Alven, confirmed contact has been made:
The deal isn't done yet, but we're negotiating his personal terms.
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.fotbollskanalen.se/1.1562593/2010/03/20/dif_bekraftar_guidetti_intresse_vi_diskuterar_villkoren" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.fotbollskanalen.se/1.1562593 ... _villkoren</a>

We've had discussion with City and Guidetti about a loan, and City are positive about it. Now we're trying to negoatiate terms.

So it's not done yet?
-No, but the ambition is to finish this before the (loan) transfer window is closed. We're discussing it with Guidetti and his agent about his personal terms for these two months it's about.

So it's a loan until the summer?
- Yes, until June 1st.

Then he'll return to City?
- Yes, those are the terms from City. They want him to have some time off before pre-season.

Then Guidetti confirms:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.fotbollskanalen.se/1.1562760/2010/03/20/guidetti_ligger_lagt_om_djurgarden_om_nagot_var_klart_skulle_jag_beratta" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.fotbollskanalen.se/1.1562760 ... ag_beratta</a>
- I trust that my agent and my advisors do this on a good way. We're very close and they help me with this kind of stuff. If something was done I'd tell you, but I play with the City reserves on monday and I only focus on that at the moment.

Djurgården is a club in the Swedish top league, based in Stockholm. Guidetti trained with AIK last summer, another Stockholm club.
<a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Djurg%C3%A5rdens_IF" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Djurg%C3%A5rdens_IF</a>

I think sweden would be a good place for him to go, and get some experience, better than the lower english leagues.

Re: U18 John Guidetti: "I need to play" (Upd: Out on loan?)

I'd have thought he'd rather go to AIK if possible or even Brommapojkarna. Djurgården and AIK hate eachother like crazy, and Guidetti has stated he's a big AIK fan. Will be fun to see though, hope he does good. I'll probably have a chance to see one or two of the matches on tv this spring so I'll tune in to see how he does if he plays.

Scored a goal this weekend for the U18's, 2-2 against Barnsley. Reserves play today.

Yeah he's a huge AIK fan it seems, but if you want to play you gotta play, AIK probably don't need another striker, specially since they won the league last year and probably have good enough players.<br /><br />-- 26 Apr 2010, 16:58 --<br /><br />Scored a great goal this weekend for Brommapojkarna in the highest Swedish division:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHlknNm2PMo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHlknNm2PMo</a>

He also provided an assist which can be seen here, in the video window at the top:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/fotboll/sverige/allsvenskan/brommapojkarna/article7018540.ab" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/f ... 7018540.ab</a>

So involved in two goals in a 2-1 win.

Then he did the assist on his debut last week, got subbed in at the end and assisted the winning goal on stoppage time:

Re: U18 John Guidetti: "I need to play" (Upd: Scores on loan)

Made his debut for Sweden U21's the other week, looking forward to seeing him play in pre-season.

Re: U18 John Guidetti: "I need to play" (Upd: Scores on loan)

He has been pundit on Swedish television all World Cup, quite impressive for a guy that just turned 18. Talking tactics etc during halftime and after matches, seems pretty popular among the public now.

Often mentions City, Tevez and the people.

Re: U18 John Guidetti: "I need to play" (Upd: Scores on loan)

Turning into another Sturridge this one isnt it?

20 years old and still not in the squad as a permanent feature suggests he wont have what it takes?

Headed to Burnley today on loan?

Thats whats being said around Turf Moor

Most likely, good move for him but we need to tie a contract down on the lad or we could lose him in Jan.

The Burnley fans dont really know much about him other than he scores shedloads...

Our reserves were on the end of a hat-trick on his debut for the reserves last season.

Could be a great move for all involves if as you say he gets tied down because presumably he'll score goals in the Championship and they'll be plenty trying to lure him for just a compensation payment.

seems strange he was only signed on a two year deal in the first place? Surely a 4 year deal was more appropriate? he was never going to make the Break through at Eastlands in two years with the long list of players in front of him.
